** After exiting a vent, an Engineer has a cooldown before they can use vents again.
** Scientists' vitals monitors can run out of battery, which they must recharge by completing tasks. However, if a Scientist has already completed all of their tasks, the monitor recharges via cooldown instead.

** Similarly, in games with only one Impostor, it's a rare occurrence for the Crewmates to win without anyone being killed if the Impostor acts incredibly suspicious or is even caught venting in a game with no Engineers; leading to a Crewmate hitting the Emergency Button to accuse and eject them.

* FlawlessVictory: It is possible, though very difficult, for Impostors to pull off a victory before any meeting is called. This can happen either because [[BystanderSyndrome no one bothers to go fix an early game sabotage until it's too late]], or because there are too few players, and by pure luck, no Crewmates find a body before the last required kill is made.

** The Crew can win by completing all objectives, despite the fact that there are still Impostors around among them (this is to ensure that imposters have a reason to kill instead of never killing to avoid ejection). What happens to either party afterwards is never acknowledged.

* FramingTheGuiltyParty: It's an entirely valid strategy to just lie about somebody being an Impostor if you suspect that they actually are one, by claiming that you either saw them venting, or finding a dead body around where they used to loiter. However, this can be a risky play if any of the other Crewmates catch onto the lie before ejecting the Impostor, as in most cases, it's much safer to remove a known liar than to vote out an unverifiable threat.

Similarly, if the accuser is believed but the suspect turns out to be innocent, the accuser is likely to be ejected next, resulting in the Crew ejecting ''two'' innocent people in a row and putting them at a big disadvantage or even costing them the game.

* ObviousRulePatch: In very early versions of the game, Impostors couldn't fix sabotages, which made it very easy to either catch them when it was very obvious that they were faking it, or at least cast suspicion on them for not going over to fix them in the first place. This was quickly dealt with by making it possible for Impostors to fix their own sabotages if they have to.

** Observant players can sometimes judge whether someone is faking a task by watching the task bar; if it moves, the task is probably genuine (albeit this isn't fully reliable since another player could be finishing a task elsewhere at the same time). In response, the option was added to set the task bar to update only after meetings, or to disable the task bar altogether.

Added DiffLines:

* ArbitraryWeaponRange: How close an Impostor must get to kill a Crewmate varies depending on the lobby's settings; the kill distance can be set to short, medium or long.

Added DiffLines:

* NotablyQuickDeliberation: Can be {{invoked|Trope}} by players; depending on how the lobby sets the times for discussion and voting, players might get anywhere from five minutes to not even one minute to determine whom (if anyone) to eject.
