!!This game provides examples of:
* AdaptationDeviation: Princess Peach is dressed as a traditional Japanese princess in this game, rather than a fairy-tale one.
* AlwaysNight: Subverted. Despite what the title would suggest, only World 1 and the levels that originally took place at night do so here.
* TheCameo: The Toads who appear at the end of each world are replaced by Japanese celebrities.
* CoolShades: Goombas and Piranha Plants are replaced with big-headed caricatures of DJ Sunplaza Nakato, but they retain his sunglasses.
* EvolvingTitleScreen: You get a star on the title screen for beating the game. The maximum is twenty.
* LicenseAddedGame: The main difference is the addition of characters from a Japanese radio program published by Fuji Television.
