As with all Pokemon, Lunatone and Solrock have 'shiny' forms - rare genetic mutations that change their colour. 'Shiny' Lunatone looks quite similar on its body, but its eyes are blue; 'Shiny' Solrock has lighter 'rays', a red body and greenish-blue pupils.

Lunatone and Solrock are very interesting creatures, discovered only about 40 years ago. They are psychic meteorites of similar dimensions and makeup: Lunatone is a metre (3'03") in height and Solrock is 1.2 metres (3'11"). Both of them typically weigh anything from 140 to 180 kilograms (310 to 400 pounds).
Lunatone is a crescent moon-shaped Pokemon, with a pointed 'beak' in the middle of its 'face'. It has two eyes on either side of its body which are large and red with oval black pupils in the centre. On its body are multiple crater formations, possibly from Earth impact. Meanwhile, Solrock is a sun-shaped Pokemon, with an orange circular body and eight lighter-coloured 'rays' extending from its face. Solrock has two eyes on one side of its face, which are usually mostly closed (unlike Lunatone, Solrock has eyelids) revealing its small, red pupils.
Both Lunatone and Solrock are notable for their psychic powers, which include levitating as their main form of movement and ability to put their opponents to sleep.
!! Habitat
Lunatone and Solrock are quite rare, however they can be found in various locations throughout the world due to meteor showers being spread evenly. They were originally discovered at Hoenn's Meteor Falls, north of Rustboro City. They have also been found at Sinnoh's three lakes, Unova's Giant Chasm, and Kalos's Glittering Cave.
