2. {{Häxan}}: A masterpiece of cinema, this film has tons of disturbing visuals which shock me to this day, second for it's time for maybe [[Phantom of the Opera]]. I like the documentary feel and as a former follower of {{Hollywood Satanism}} I can vouch for this film being entertaining under a variety of theological conditions. I would compare this to the germanic {{birth of a nation}}, using cutting edge techniques to explore a troubled history with prejudice. That is before the actual Germanic, birth of a nation; {{Will to Power}} which isn't nuanced as much as it is sickening. I couldn't picture this film being done today without it becoming an exploitative direct to DVD horror film or a small history channel gig.

3. {{Metropolis}}: One of the most foundational movies of it's time and it is so astounding it's jarring when the ahead of their time effects are put next to really dated sic-fi and the fact this is a silent movie. For those who want to know, if I had the knowledge of theatre or music I would totally make a a Wagnerian opera based on this with set pieces not unlike those found in the recent {{Batman Live}} but put to uses other than putting the tombstone in the seriousness of the Dark Night.
