I was born in a hospital in Perth while Paul [=McCartney=] was tuning up on the other side of the road, I read {{The Count of Monte Cristo}} at age 9, I spent most of my early school years drawing Minkowski diagrams and designing nuclear thermal rockets, I can tell you the difference between P-complete and NP-complete problems, I sometimes delude myself into thinking I'm a good writer, I think mythology and folklore (the older, the better) are insanely awesome, I once tried walking into a wall to see if my wave-function would attenuate through to the other side (it didn't), I learned to read from {{Calvin and Hobbes}}, I'm learning to speak Latin for no particularly good reason, I have more books than I know what to do with, I'm obsessed with the Transbaikala and Maritime Territories front of the Russian Civil War (specifically the part ranging from Kolchak's execution by the Bolsheviks in January 1920 to the bloody conclusion of the Nikolayevsk-on-Amur Incident later that year), I think cellular automata is the coolest thing ever, I can tell you how the Church-Turing thesis relates to predicting whether a given set of Wang Tiles will infinitely tile the 2D plane, and I think tokin hats are cool.
