** I also tend to relate more with the interests and pursuits of the Japanese fanbase than that of any other region. My immersed recollection of Japanese ''Star Fox'' fandom has gotten me accused at least once of being a "[[OccidentalOtaku weeaboo]]". But really, I just want to understand the series better. Part of this means trying to understand what the [[WordOfGod creators]] (both in UsefulNotes/{{Japan}} and UsefulNotes/{{Britain}}) were thinking, and understanding the nature of the fandom around the world. Every fan has a different reaction and different basic assumptions of what they're seeing, though certain reactions are going to be a lot more common within in certain locales.

I've had a big ''StarFox'' obsession since 1993, but I'm not fond of ''StarFox64'' as a game...and yet I love what the franchise has done with Star Wolf since ''[[StarFoxAssault Assault]]'' and ''[[SuperSmashBros Brawl]]''. But my "Old Timer" ways don't just clash with the egos of [[BaseBreaker Krystal]] fans, but also with ''64'' fans as well. I do miss Papetoon...
