I've been a troper since, I'm pretty sure, before we even had a forum; certainly for at least four years. I don't have that much time to throw at it anymore but you'll still see me around the forums in certain threads or making additions to random parts of the wiki. At the moment you might be more likely to see me on the MSPA forums in the forum adventures board. You might even catch me making another attempt at running an adventure there! (Of the ones I've tried so far I'm only at all proud of the two "Aisleventures", which are both comedy, as only other one not to fizzle out on its own and that one stopped when I woke up one day and realized it was a mess of plot-enabling inconsistencies and rather nonsensical wangst. At least to me, as apparently the audience was having fun).

Hi. My name's obviously not Brickman, but that's the name I go by most places online (just in case it gives someone the chance to recognize me from somewhere else). I'm in my second year of college now, in the good ol' US of A, studying to be an engineer of some sort, and I love this site; been visiting it for at least a year. I haven't been keeping score on entries I've made or contributed to, but I know there are some. AllCrimesAreEqual might just be the only one I can really and truly take full credit for, having started the YKTTW, written it and launched it, but maybe that's just the only one I can remember.

Hi. My name's obviously not Brickman, but that's the name I go by most places online (just in case it gives someone the chance to recognize me from somewhere else). As I'm writing this I see that the last time I updated this page was three years ago, when I was still in my second year of college now, and living in a different city, and since I'm likely to continue neglecting it like that there's no point in much biographical info. But I'd say it's a reasonable bet that whenever you read this page I'm still going to have a BS in Computer Science Engineering, I'm still going to be male and I'm still going to be living in the good ol' US United States.
Also, it's a decent bet that I'll still be using Othar Tryggvassen as my avatar on the forums, because I don't really ''get'' the whole appeal ofA, studying constantly changing avatars. I'm trying to be an engineer of some sort, and I love this site; use that thing to recognize you, why do you people keep changing your face?

I am currently working on not one but two adventures on the MSPaintAdventures forums, which if you're not used to it are basically interactive stories with me in the writers' seat and anyone who reads it able to suggest commands for the main characters to perform. Since more readers means more posts means I get to write them faster and pick better commands to use, I am briefly plugging them both here:
[[http://mspaforums.com/showthread.php?31772-Cursed Cursed]] is a story about two fairies used to having great power [[RetiredMonster who can no longer use it freely]]. The story begins with Esther, a fairy who has the power to manipulate memories which, applied carefully, was effectively mind control of the highest order. She spent centuries running rampant with this power, allied for part of that time with someone known as the "Blight Granter", until one day she angered another powerful being and was afflicted with the titular curse, which makes any use of her powers except to restore true memories backfire and wipe out some of her own memory. She now has to deal with both stigma against her kind and the threat of being linked to her old reputation without relying on her power, unless she wants to wind up a complete wreck.
Eventually a second fairy is introduced to the story, Karen, who has powerful telekinesis which can be applied to flesh and blood. She longs for the days when she could do as she wished with her powers, but the unfavorable political climate has forced her to join a strange order for monsters called the Penitents which is dedicated to doing good and inflicting no harm with their powers. She now wanders and applies her power to healing the injured (painfully), but balks at the limitations her church's Code inflicts on her and jumps at any chance to do something more exciting. Given the choice she would much rather go around terrorizing villages with her power, but when faced with a choice between that and being able to sleep under a real roof in a real building without fearing for assassins, she chose the latter.
Also in the main cast is a human with the unfortunate name of Dat Kidd, who believes that Esther is no longer evil and who is attempting to help her locate a man who he suspects had his memories magically removed some time in the past, since restoring the memories of such unfortunates is the only way for Esther to recover her own.
The other story, [[http://mspaforums.com/showthread.php?33742-Trust-me-Text-only Trust Me]], can afford much less explanation without being ruined. The protagonist wakes up to find himself in a strange, dangerous and apparently artificial place with several entities contacting him through text messages to his cell phone. The messengers insist that he is in great danger and imply that he is involved in some kind of "game" which he may not survive. Each one tries to offer him advice, both immediate and general, and tell him where to go, with each ultimately suggesting a different direction and destination. Most importantly, each one insists that the others are not to be trusted and that he will die if he trusts them. Can the readers, and by association the protagonist, sift through the lies to find the truth and determine who, if anyone, is trustworthy? Will he even survive long enough for it to matter?

* MsPaintAdventures -- or more specifically, {{Homestuck}} (Has recently surpassed Girl Genius as my favorite webcomic. Humor abounds but does not get in the way (much) of what has developed into a truly epic plot with lovable and compelling characters. What's most notable about Homestuck is the absurd rate at which the comic is dished out--although there is less content per page than many other webcomics the author usually puts out anywhere from half a dozen to two dozen a day, and many pages include dialogues which dwarf a week's worth of content from the average comic. Pages almost all involve some kind of animation, ranging from a few looping frames to epic several-minute-long flash animations set to music, and there are even several interactive segments such as (at present) four segments in which you take control of a character to explore the environment. Usually if he goes more than twenty four hours without an update people assume a massive flash "page" is coming.)
