** ''Franchise/TheCthulhuMythos''. The stuff I create often features Lovecraftian [[EldritchAbomination Eldritch Abominations]] as antagonists. They also very often contain [[ShoutOut Shout Outs]] to the mythos.

* VillainProtagonist: One of my ''Spore Galactic Adventures'' games, '''[[PunnyName Invinci-Bill]]''' is about a failed invincible ArtificialHuman named Invinci-Bill who was emprisoned in a lab for years for being violent, but he [[EscapedFromTheLab escapes]] and goes on a violent killing spree in which he has to kill various different enemies within a strict time limit, allthewhile enemies have various ways to waste your time, such as freezing you or stunning you with electricity. Invinci-Bill can also notably MindControl enemies into helping him.

** BadToTheBone: I consider this to be lazy, and distracting from the experience. Probably the worst example of this has to be ''WesternAnimation/TheSuperMarioBrosMovie''. As awesome as that movie is, I really don't like the large amount of liscensed songs it contains, And would much rather prefer usage of original songs. That said, I do believe this trope can be done right, as shown with that one epic fighting scene set to 'No Sleep 'Till Brooklyn' in ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3''
