** Storm was only a minor character, yet Halle Berry's name is listed above Nicholas Hoult's, who had a large supporting role.

** Creator/AnnaPaquin was originally meant to return as Rogue for one of the future scenes, and can be seen in the film's trailer. Unfortunately, this scene was cut, leaving Rogue absent from the film until a very brief appearance at the very end.

** Among the concept art that has surfaced for the film is a [[http://cdn.screenrant.com/wp-content/uploads/X-Men-Days-of-Future-Past-Jubilee-concept-art-2-570x988.jpeg costume concept]] of Jubilee for the future scenes, indicating that she was among the characters considered for the film.

* CreatorsFavorite: Creator/BryanSinger has admitted at both the SDCC panel and the "X-Men Unguarded" group discussion on ''The Rogue Cut'' Blu-Ray/DVD that Professor X is his favourite X-Men character, and this is why the younger Xavier gets to be the central figure of ''Days of Future Past'' instead of the younger Magneto for the second time in a row as Creator/MatthewVaughn had originally planned. (Erik is Vaughn's favourite.)

* CastingGag: Peter Dinklage made sure to point out he is a mutant--as in a genetic mutation causing dwarfism--playing a mutant-hating bigot.

* AwesomeDearBoy: [[spoiler: Kelsey Grammer]] loved playing [[spoiler: Beast]] so much that when Patrick Stewart and Ian [=McKellan=] let him know the band was being put back together for ''Days'', he immediately called Bryan Singer to get him in the movie, somewhere, and was flown in on Singer's private jet in secret for a last-second cameo.

* DeletedScene: Among the usual "trimmed for time" sequences and the aforementioned near-total deletion of Rogue from the film, the DVD release includes in a separate featurette (complete with its own set of outtakes) a lengthy sequence that would have ''changed the course of the film'' had it been kept, as it [[spoiler: features Mystique actually taking Charles up on his offer to return home, at which point the heroes basically fill her in on everything, eliminating all remaining dramatic tension with her character and undermining her later turn. The scene would have explained why Mystique knew of and later rescued Logan at the end of the movie, however.]]

* IKnewIt: On the "Fridge" tab for ''Film/XMenFirstClass'' on ThisVeryWiki, one troper actually proposed the theory that [[spoiler: [[WhoShotJFK Magneto was responsible for the assassination of John F. Kennedy]]]] about three years before that became a major plot point in this movie--although in the actual movie, [[spoiler: Magneto is ''imprisoned'' for assassinating Kennedy, but insists that he actually tried to save him (it's left to the audience to decide whether he's telling the truth)]].

** A major DeletedScene would have turned the plot of the film on its ear had it been kept as it featured [[spoiler: Mystique returning to Charles's mansion where she has her gunshot wound tended to by Hank and is basically completely filled in on her role in the story arc, which although Mystique remains defiant still pretty much would have left the film with nowhere to go had it been kept.]]

** According to Creator/JamesMcAvoy and Louise Mingenbach (the costume designer), we were supposed to infer that Charles was experimenting with all sorts of narcotics to escape his psychological anguish, but there is a limit to the amount of drug use that can be shown in a PG-13 movie. Knowing that he was frequently drugged out of his mind in addition to the alcoholism and serum addiction makes Xavier's HeroicBSOD that much more tragic (note that the administration of the serum, especially when Charles does it by himself, is presented exactly in the same manner as heroin users).
