* ScheduleSlip: The third season was stated to premiere in January 2017. As of February 10th, season three still has yet to air.

** The miniseries featuring [[spoiler:Starscream]] aired in Canada about one to two months before they aired in America.

** Season three premiered in Canada on September 10, 2016 and has yet to start airing in America.

** With an example set in [[Franchise/TransformersAlignedUniverse the same universe]], ''VideoGame/TransformersWarForCybertron'' featured a character named "Slipstream" based on the female Starscream clone from ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'', but this one has a male Minicon. Likewise,''VideoGame/TransformersRiseOfTheDarkSpark'' featured an Autobot deployer called Steeljaw based on the Cassette Autobot from G1, but here there's a full sized Decepticon, who is also the BigBad, called Steeljaw.

** The reason for Grimlock's shift in personality from his [[VideoGame/TransformersFallOfCybertron earlier appearances]] was because he was originally going to be a new Dinobot character. Hasbro requested that the writers change him to Grimlock in order to cash in on his appearance in ''Film/TransformersAgeOfExtinction''. There was [[http://mscottwrites.tumblr.com/post/117608543176/answering-some-asks an attempt to keep Grimlock's personality and backstory]], but it was never implemented due to the [[DarkerAndEdgier clashes]] of [[LighterAndSofter tones]] between the two series.

* CastingGag: Stockade's voice actor Gregg Berger voiced the original Grimlock in the G1 cartoon as well as the ''VideoGame/TransformersFallOfCybertron'' version of Grimlock. Both versions disliked Optimus Prime's leadership and thought they could do a better job as leader.

* PromotedFanboy: Creator/EricBauza is a fan of Drift, even wanting to voice the character since ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated''. This show gave him his wish.

** Fans have accused Cartoon Network of doing this ''deliberately'' just so they can air more reruns of ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo''; the exact same tactic was used to banish ''WesternAnimation/SonicBoom'' to an early Saturday morning timeslot as well.

** The title ''Transformers: Robots in Disguise'' can refer to the 2015 series, the comic beginning in 2012 that is a continuation of the IDW G1 universe and had it's name changed as above, the second phase of the ''WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime'' toyline, or the 2001 American port of the 2000 anime ''Car Robots''.

That's ''5:30 in the morning'', a time when absolutely ''no sane kid'' (or Transformers fan) would even be awake! This is clearly so the network can show more reruns of ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo'', which also banished ''WesternAnimation/SonicBoom'' to an early Saturday morning timeslot. Any potential viewer without a DVR, the capability to use Cartoon Network's Video app/website or On Demand platform (both requiring separate participation from a given cable company) or willingness to pirate the show online or the money to spend to buy the episodes on iTunes/Amazon is pretty much out of luck.

** It gets worse: the series' third season was cancelled and the series will instead end with a movie following the second season. This is presumably because of ratings issues, which, again, can be laid at the feet of ''Teen Titans Go'' reruns hogging daytime and primetime slots.
** However, salvation may yet come in the form of digital distribution; recent word indicates that Hasbro intends to release more episodes in the future through the website [=SuperAwesome=], and tweets from the show's animators seem to suggest the existence of future seasons that will most likely come out this way.

** There was to be a third season, but ratings issues caused by the series airing in a graveyard slot saw it cancelled.
