* MoneyDearBoy: A Hilarious double subversion happened with Dee Snider from Music/TwistedSister. When he first heard that the movie's producers wanted to license "I Wanna Rock", he was totally on board because of the licensing fees involved, but when he heard that they wanted to change the lyrics into the now-infamous "Goofy Goober Rock", he was incredulous, as he felt it would detract from the art of the song. That is, until he heard that the producers of the movie were willing to shell out $300,000. As Snider himself put it, "I'm a whore, but I'm an expensive whore." It helped that Snider had two children in college at the time, so he was more than happy to accept that amount of money.

* PromotedFangirl: Though she didn't realize who he was at the time, Creator/ScarlettJohansson is reportedly a huge fan of ''WesternAnimation/RockosModernLife'' and had a {{fangirl}} moment when she found out that most of the crew had previously worked on it. Creator/MrLawrence even dipped into his Filbert voice for her, much to her delight.

* ExiledFromContinuity: One that took 15 years to be lifted. [[https://mobile.twitter.com/VincentWaller72/status/1114208160208674816 According to Vincent Waller]], there was once a firewall between content created for this film and the Nickelodeon created characters, hence why the movie's version of King Neptune and other characters created for it don't pop up in the show. Even images of Goofy Goober and the exterior of the restaurant were barred from being used for a while, though mentions of him in the show were still okay. It wasn't until 2015 when Creator/{{Paramount}} and Nickelodeon agreed to use elements from the movie to appear on the show like the above mentioned Goofy Goober and his restaurant later appearing in episodes like "The Goofy Newbie". Likewise, Mindy would later make a brief non-speaking cameo in the special [=SpongeBob=]'s Big Birthday Blowout".

** It's no secret that Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} loves to play this movie on random weeknights and weekends, usually as filler where they couldn't fit more episodes of [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants the show]], and it's a regular during ''[=SpongeBob=]'' marathons. This only seems to die down whenever a premium cable network or a popular streaming service gets the broadcasting/streaming rights, but when they lose it or a service takes it down, Nickelodeon goes back to doing the same thing they always do.

The film was meant to be dubbed in Mexico rather than the usual Venezuela, but the recording unfortunately coincided with the ANDA strike against Grabaciones y Doblajes (you know, the one that caused ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'' to be recast). As a result, it was ultimately decided that the film should be dubbed in Venezuela with most of the cast [[RoleReprise reprising their roles]] except Paul Gillman as Patrick due to his retirement from dubbing to continue his music career; Alfonso Soto took over since then. Creator/DavidHasselhoff was dubbed by Juan Alfonso Carralero, his usual voice at the time, from Mexico.

That's an unsubstantiated rumor, and unlikely since the amount of swearing the song has would make it inappropriate for a kid's movie.
