* {{Jossed}}: Fans theorized that the Koroks meant that the game could be set after ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSpiritTracks'' in the Adult Timeline, taking place in the New Hyrule that was established there. This was soon shot down by WordOfGod stating that Ganon's in the game, which is impossible at that point in the Adult Timeline since Ganondorf was KilledOffForReal in ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTheWindWaker''.%%Unless it has been proven that this game takes place after Wind Waker, do not add or change anything.
** That doesn't rule it out yet. [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess Wouldn't be the first time Ganon is killed off]] in a game and [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaFourSwordsAdventures comes back later anyways]]. DeathIsCheap, when it comes to him.%%Sorry but no. There's a lot more going for this game being in the Wind Waker timeline, The Koroks, the rust on the master sword which would fit with being in the ocean, Ganon revives all the time, Rocks from an ancient ocean being found, and the Old Man heavily resembles King Daphnes, You can't just say that this game is confirmed to not be in the Wind Waker timeline because it isn't and thus not actually jossed. It would have been better not adding the Jossed trope in the first place this early. Unless you provide more proof than what little has been presented or remove the whole entry then there is no grounds to saying it's impossible.

* The Guardians' designs were based on Octoroks. When Aonuma went back to play the original game on NES, he felt their sprites made them feel very large in comparison to Link, hence the Guardians' size. However, because giant octopi are quite gross, he decided to take the sci-fi, technology route, which lead to the Guardians' final design, and in turn, the entire game's {{Magitek}} elements.

''Zelda Souls'' also took off among some communities after information from E3 2016 revealed the game's heavier focus on wanting to tell certain story elements through the environment.

* TrollingCreator: The day the first trailer was revealed, Eiji Aonuma alluded that the character shown wasn't Link when he said "no one ever explicitly said that was [him]." This launched hours of speculation, from the character being a girl and / or somebody who idolized Link, or even a hero who stepped up when Link didn't appear in '''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTheWindWaker'''s backstory. The next day, Aonuma admitted that he was just joking and the person in the trailer really is Link.

Sinkholes. No spoiler tagging stuff from previous titles in a series, plus Wind Waker falls under the "10 years" rule. Stay objective. Example Indentation.
