Notably, the series' spiritual successors (such as Series/DerryGirls) have tended to be intentional period pieces or set in an AmbiguousTimePeriod rather than being contemporary.
** The soundtrack comprises of popular music taken from that period.
** Mobile phones used by the characters are of the pre-smartphone variety and there are no tablets.
