** Prior to the end of the series, a post went up on 4chan talking about the so-called "original" plan for ''Secret Empire'' and ''Generations'' -- Kobik would still be the catalyst to save the day, but, similar to ''Dark Reign'', the World Security Council (who was brought in in ''Captain America: Steve Rogers'') would take over and impose their rule over the superhuman populace. ''Generations'' would have brought back the original heroes and, while they would go off to reconnect with the populace, the younger heroes would become the "Resistance" against the WSC with their titles relaunching as a brand new "Ultimate" line.
** A different 4chan post, and one that is slightly more plausible, instead posits that Secret Empire's ending was partly rewritten halfway thru amid the backlash of Nazi Steve, and that the plan was for Sam Wilson, once and for all, becoming the new Captain America by saving the day from an unreformed Steve. Not only that, but with Pym being part Ultron, Stark out of commission, Thor being unworthy, Clint being a murderer, Bruce being dead, Vision being reformatted and so on... it would cement a new era for younger/different heroes; but due to the backlash... well, it's believed the original idea was scrapped. That they added the pages of Steve in the Kobikspace, which doesn't interact with the main story until near the very end, and two gratuitous panels that link to ''Generations'' add credence to this theory.

There was no Reset Button Ending. Kobik specifically didn't reverse anything that happened during the event, and she didn't fix HYDRA!Cap. She only reversed the HYDRA world he tried to create for about two minutes in the final issue.
