** In 2024, James announced that he no longer had any passion for videos about mainstream animated movies at all. While he wasn't going to stop making videos about them outright, he said that they would only make them to [[MoneyDearBoy fund more personal videos]] about musicals, video games, directors, and Franchise/StarWars.

* CreatorsApathy: In his Creator/BlueSkyStudios Ranking Video, he pretty much explicitly states that he made the video solely out of the obligation of people expecting him to make a ranking video of every major animation studio. He repeats in the video multiple times that he has no strong positive or negative feelings for the studio or any of their works (with the exception of ''{{WesternAnimation/Robots}}''), and considers the vast majority of their films to be of similar mediocre quality. When the video got taken down about a year later due to copyright, he admitted getting it back up would be an easy fix, but didn't even bother doing it due to the backlash from ''{{WesternAnimation/Rio}}'' fans over his ranking of those movies (and then he reuploaded it on April Fool's Day, moving ''Rio 2'' to #1 to spite the fanbase).

** The [[Franchise/{{Cars}} Lightning McQueen]] episode of his "Will They Be in [[VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Smash]]?" series has been removed, possibly out of concerns that [=YouTube=] would mark it as "for kids".

* MagnumOpusDissonance: James doesn't seem entirely happy with being primarily known for his animation videos while his videos about live-action movies, video games, and live theater tend to be less popular. He's expressed surprise that his ''{{WesternAnimation/Megamind}}'' video is his most popular while extremely popular videos like his {{Theatre/Hadestown}} video is ignored. In his ''Anime/WhisperOfTheHeart'' review, he said that he "wished you guys cared a bit more about musicals."

** In his ranking the Disney Renaissance films, while he correctly identifies the fat guard's voice actor in ''WesternAnimation/{{The Hunchback of Notre Dame|Disney}}'' as Creator/BillFagerbakke (the voice of [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants Patrick Star]]), he mistakenly identifies the skinny guard's voice actor as Creator/MrLawrence, the voice of Plankton. The skinny guard is actually voiced by Creator/CoreyBurton. In the same video, he also incorrectly identifies Sabor, the leopard that killed Tarzan's parents, as a cheetah.
** In his review of ''What's Up: Balloon to the Rescue'', he refers ''WesternAnimation/ACarsLifeSparkysBigAdventure'' as part of the Creator/VideoBrinquedo canon of films he and his late editor Chris reviewed in their "Mockbuster Video" series, alongside ''WesternAnimation/{{Ratatoing}}'', ''WesternAnimation/TheLittlePandaFighter'', and ''What's Up: Balloon to the Rescue''. In reality, ''A Car's Life'' was made by Creator/SparkPlugEntertainment, not Video Brinquedo. Also, in the review on ''The Little Panda Fighter'', when Chris mentions Video Brinquedo's ''The Little Cars'' films (which are also mockbusters of ''WesternAnimation/Cars1''), footage of ''A Car's Life'' is shown instead.
** In the ''WesternAnimation/LadyAndTheTramp'' section of his "Every Disney Animation Movie Ranked" video, he talks about how the rat that tried to attack the baby randomly shows up in the climax and was never seen at any point prior in the movie. This is false. The rat actually appeared in an earlier part of the movie being chased out the backyard by Lady.
** When discussing ''Film/EmpireOfTheSun'' in his Steven Spielberg ranking, he said he was not aware that this was Christian Bale's feature film debut, having previously believed his career began with Film/{{Newsies}}. However, Bale's first appearance in a feature film was ''Film/TheLandOfFarAway'', which released two months before ''Empire of the Sun''.

** Similarly, on October 9th, he uploaded a review of the mockbuster ''[[Creator/VideoBrinquedo What's Up? Balloon to the Rescue!]]''. That same date was the birthday of his best friend Chris, who James had a series with where they reviewed other mockbusters and who died in the same car crash as Patrick. Schaff also said that that video is gonna be his very last mockbuster review.
