In addition to suffering badly from BlindIdiotTranslation, it effectively launched as an ObviousBeta, to the point where not only was the game riddled with {{Game Breaking Bug}}s, but it was impossible to get HundredPercentCompletion due to one. Most of the worst bugs have been patched out in the months following release, but the translation job has yet to be fixed, and many ardent fans can't help but feel burned by such a long-awaited game releasing in such poor quality.

** The anime isn't released in home video yet in North America despite the fact that Aniplex is involved in the production (most likely due to low sales in Japan).
* ScheduleSlip: The localization of ''Rewrite+'' and ''Rewrite Harvest festa!'' was originally announced at Anime Expo 2017. A Kickstarter for additional funding needed for the project was launched and completed in October/November 2019 with a slated release date of November 2020. As of April 2021 the translation effort for ''Rewrite+'' is still ongoing but is 90% completed, and will be released... eventually.
