%%* SchrodingersCanon: Despite Disney throwing out all of the previous ExpandedUniverse, this game fell into an odd place due to ''VideoGame/StarWarsTheOldRepublic'' being in active production (all new Star Wars media released following the establishment of the new Canon/Legends designations is part of Canon, but while many SW projects in the works prior to the Disney acquisition were cancelled to clear the slate, ''SWTOR'' remained the sole exception and continued to receive support and new content). To be clear, ''Knights of the Old Republic'', ''Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords'', and ''The Old Republic'' are firmly classified as Legends, not Canon, though elements from them have been partially restored to Canon status via name-drops and easter eggs (The ''Rise of Skywalker'' visual guide named several First Order battalions after Sith Lords, with Revan being name-dropped as one such battalion). Similarly, one of the Ace's astromech droids in ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsResistance'' bears a strong resemblance to T3-M4, and is mentioned to be based on an ancient design, and the HK-''87'' assassin droid makes an appearance in ''Series/TheMandalorian''.
