Heck, he's probably not going to get his own ''Gaiden movie'' had it not been due to his PopularityPower.]]

* NamesTheSame:
** Kouta Kazuraba's given name spells out "葛葉" in kanji, but most people would read it as "[[WebAnimation/{{Nijisanji}} Kuzuha]]".
** Kamen Rider Ryugen's weapon is called the Grape Ryuhou [[note]]"Dragon Gun"[[/note]], and when he transforms, the Sengoku Driver calls out "Ryuhou, Ha Ha Ha!". Ryuhou is also, although written with different kanji [[note]]"Peak" instead of "gun"[[/note]], the name of a character (coincidentally Chinese) from [[Anime/SaintSeiyaOmega another NichiAsa Kids Time show]].
** While not a straight example, you have to wonder if naming someone [[Series/KamenRiderOOO Takatora]][[note]]Only the kanji for 'tora' (tiger) is the correct one[[/note]] was deliberate.
** Gaku Sano (Kouta/Gaim) and Gaku Matsuda (Zack/Knuckle).
*** In addition, his last name Sano is shared with both [[Series/KamenRiderRyuki Mitsuru Sano]] (Kamen Rider Imperer) and [[Series/KamenRiderDragonKnight Tony Sano]] (the actor for Imperer's counterpart Kamen Rider Spear).
** Hideyasu Jonouchi shares part of his name with [[Manga/YuGiOh Jonouchi]], whose most memorable trait outside from his hotheadedness was his bond with Yugi. Hideyasu, however, isn't hot-headed. His friend is though... [[spoiler:or rather ''was'' before he ditched him]], making Hideyasu the total opposite of Joey.
** Subverted with the ''Gaim Gaiden'' movies, which introduces a second watermelon-themed arms; the one from the series is called Suika Arms, while the one from ''Gaiden'' is Watermelon Arms (and is said to be the prototype of the former).
** One of the Beat Riders is named Peko. Yes, "[[WebAnimation/{{Hololive}} Peko]]".

** This is not the first time when Tsunemori Aoki potrays [[Series/GaroTheOneWhoShinesInTheDarkness a character]] with [[TheStraightAndArrowPath bow]] as WeaponOfChoice.

* ActingForTwo: Mai and the mysterious woman are both played by Yuumi Shida; this is even alluded to when Kouta mistakes the latter for the former. [[spoiler:[[SignificantDoubleCasting Turns out later on that they're one and the same]]. The mysterious woman is a time traveling future Mai.]]

* MeanCharacterNiceActor: Yutaka Kobayashi is infamously known for being [[https://youtu.be/nCdSEXcSN-M quite the perky and cheerful guy]], in diametric opposite to his character Kaito, to the point staff and fans have pointed out they have the biggest gap in personality between character and actor. About the only thing they seem to have in common is baking skills. Kobayashi's other character, [[{{Keet}} Shapool]], is much closer to Kobayashi's actual temperament (to the point he apparently had to do much fewer retakes for Shapool than he did Kaito). He's also very close friends with Gaku Sano (Kouta) in real life.

** Remember the DJ Gun combining with the Musou Saber to create Taiken Mode? There was a rumored Kiwami-exclusive combination of the DJ Gun combining with the [[UpToEleven Daidaimaru in Naginata Mode]], creating the [[DoubleWeapon DJ Sojinto]]. It never materialized.

** Tomomi Jiena Sumi plays a member of Team POP UP and Jonouchi's assistant, Masako Suzuka/[[spoiler: Kamen Rider Sylphi]], its unknown if they are the same person.

* FanNickname:
** "Kamen Rider ''VideoGame/FruitNinja''" is a popular one. And once the series started getting darker, "[[Series/GameOfThrones Gaim of Thrones]]", and it's not exactly hard as to figure how/where that nickname came from.
** Ryoji and Hideyasu collectively are referred to as the "Nutty Buddies". [[spoiler:This receives a FunnyAneurysmMoment when Hideyasu tells Ryoji that he was just using him. Later subverted tragically when Hideyasu is proven to be a lot less callous about Ryoji, albeit by that point being far too late]]
** There was originally a rumor going around that the mysterious girl was named "Eve" in reference to the Biblical ForbiddenFruit. After that was debunked, the fandom has settled for calling her things like "Helheim Mai", "Alt-Mai", or "Not!Mai" due to her resemblance to regular Mai. She's eventually revealed to be [[spoiler:''Future'' Mai, and the end of the series makes her a metaphorical Eve even if she's never named as such.]]
** Mitsuzane is occasionally referred to as "Mitch" as an Americanized version of his in-series nickname, Micchy.
** [=Æ=]sir Fansubs translated the Sengoku Driver as "Wärring Driver" [[{{Woolseyism}} in order to convey the pun behind the name]][[note]]It's written with the Kanji for "War" and "Extreme", with their dubbing the HeavyMetalUmlaut as appropriately extreme[[/note]]. When it turned out that the Driver was actually named for its ''creator'', Ryoma Sengoku, and [=Æ=]sir changed his surname as well, fans took to calling him "Warren Statesman".
** Another nickname relating to translations but not involving the subs this time, Takatora is sometimes called "Hawktiger" because his given name is a homophone for the Japanese words for those animals (though it actually translates as "Noble Tiger"). Of course, ''Kamen Rider'' fans would recognize those as two of the three animals which make up Series/KamenRiderOOO's Tatoba Combo, leading to the creation of a humorous picture of our Overseer with grasshopper legs to complete the trio. Doubles as AwesomeMcCoolname.
*** Alternately, some have taken to calling him "OO", since he's one Medal short of being OOO.
** The "Energy Riders", for the four Yggdrasill Riders with Genesis Drivers (Zangetsu Shin, Duke, Sigurd, and Marika).
** Team [=PopUp=] = "Team Sexy", thanks to the Music/KamenRiderGirls' portrayal.
** As of the halfway mark, some have started using [[spoiler:"Sour Grapes"]] as a nickname for [[spoiler:JerkAss!Micchy since, true to the phrase's origins, he's acting this way out of [[GreenEyedMonster jealousy]] over the attention and affection Kouta gets from Mai.]]
*** More derisive viewers call him Bitchy-[[spoiler:Micchy]].
** Sid gets the nicknames like Cherry Juice, Crushed Cherries, Cherry Pancake, or Cherry Crush, [[spoiler:thanks to Rosyuo squeezing him to death inside a cliff face.]]
** The battle in #36 has been dubbed "Melonbowl 2014" because of the Riders involved [[spoiler:Takatora as Zangetsu versus Mitsuzane as Zangetsu Shin]].
** Kouta and fellow Urobuchi heroes [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Madoka]] and [[LightNovel/FateZero Saber]] have been dubbed by some as the "[[Creator/GenUrobuchi Urobutcher]] Trinity".

* IronyAsSheIsCast: Yutaka Kobayashi (Kaito's actor) revealed that he actually hated bananas due to a time where he ran a marathon and only ate bananas that day. He overcame this dislike, since children would see him as "the banana guy."

** Team [=PopUp=] = "Team Sexy", thanks to the Kamen Rider Girls' portrayal.

** Kamen Rider Zangetsu Kachidoki Arms, the exclusive form to ''Kamen Rider Zangetsu Stage -Gaim Gaiden-'' theater stage show is reused and recolored from Gaim Kachidoki Arms. The Kachidoki Lockseed is painted green.

*** Zach gets the Marron Enrgy lockseed and transforms into Knuckle Jimber Marron Arms. The Marron Energy Lockseed is a repaint of the Peach Energy Lockseed.

** From this series onward, ''Kamen Rider'' has stopped all exporting to Singapore. [[Administrivia/RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgment There are multiple potential reasons for this]], from the low local viewership/sales for ''[[Series/KamenRiderWizard Wizard]]'', the DarkerAndEdgier nature of the show, to fans' backlash over [[TheyChangedItNowItSucks the heavily-modified "Asian Version"]] release of ''Gaim'''s merchandise that was initially launched in Hong Kong.

* CrossDressingVoices: [[spoiler: Redyue, a female Overlord, is voiced by Creator/KenjiroTsuda, a male voice actor.]]

** Sid gets the nicknames like Cherry Juice, Crushed Cherries, Cherry Pancake, or Cherry Crush, [[spoiler:thanks to Roshuo squeezing him to death inside a cliff face.]]

** [[spoiler: The fruits turning people into Inves, and Yuya being the first Inves Gaim fought.]]

* TheOtherDarrin: [[spoiler:Kataoka Ainosuke VI does not reprise his role as Kougane in the final episode.]]

** The costume for the Hekija Inves from Episode 14 is merely the Byakko Inves's, with a different mask and without the spikes in the back. [[spoiler: Becomes a lot more meaningful once you find out the story behind these specific Inves.]]
** Same for Episode 30's Yagi Inves, being modified from the Komori Inves's costume.

** Kouta's outfit as [[spoiler: The Man of the Beginning]] is a modified version of Kiwami Arms' silver armor with a new chestplate(which itself is a recolored Kurokage chestplate) and cape. [[spoiler: This is justified as Kouta has now surpassed Kiwami Arms without even needing to transform]].

*** Speaking of Knuckle, [[spoiler:he was originally scripted to die fighting Kaito in Episode 45, but was apparently saved by PopularityPower; even Gaku Matsuda didn't know until he saw the scripts for Episode 46 and was overjoyed to find out that Zack survived. Heck, he's probably not going to get his own ''Gaiden movie'' had it not been due to his PopularityPower.]]

** The biggest offender was the absence of a Jinba Melon Arms. This did appear in the toyline due to the Arms piece being able to fold into four different sides for each of the original four Energy Lockseeds, but was likely abandoned on the show due to storyline reasons. [[spoiler: It finally appears in the ''Kamen Rider Gaim'' sequel novel, used by Takatora[=/=]Zangetsu himself.]]

** Originally, Urobuchi had planned on having [[spoiler: Sid]] killed by Micchy instead of Roshou.

** Zangetsu is implied to an {{Expy}} of Kamen Rider Ouja, [[spoiler: though that could actually have been a foreshadowing of Zangetsu Shin II.]]

** Bujin Gaim is essentially a repaint of Gaim’s Orange Arms, with the armor painted red, and the mouth plate becoming black.

** Kamen Rider Zangetsu Kachidoki Arms, the exclusive form to ''Kamen Rider Zangetsu Stage -Gaim Gaiden-'' theater stage show is reused and recolored from Gaim Kachidoki Arms.

*** Zach gets the Marron Enrgy lockseed and transforms into Knuckle Jimber Marron Arms. The Marron lockseed is a repaint of the Peach Lockseed.

*** Jonouchi gets the Lychee lockseed and transforms into Lychee Arms, with a repainted Lord Baron Guronbaryamu sword and Donkachi. The Lychee lockseed is an original lockseed.
** Kamen Rider Saver is a kitbash of the Mars suit, with the helmet painted red and having mummy-like wrappings around it, and the armor is composed of the left shoulder from Blood Orange Arms, and the rest being comprise of the Ringo Arms. He uses the Blood Zakuro lockseed, which is a repaint of the Suika lockseed, and the Blood Orange lcokseed from Bujin Gaim.
** Kamen Rider Sylphi is a repaint of Idunn, with an additional veil on the helmet, and uses a retooled Kagematsu staff with a Helheim fruit on the top. The Hells lockseed is an original lockseed.

*** His Marron Bombers, when shed of the outer skin, are remolded from Kamen Rider OOO’s Sagozo Gori Bagoon gauntlets.

** Kamen Rider Saver is a kitbash of the Mars suit, with the helmet helmet but with mummy-like wrappings around it, and the armor is composed of the left shoulder from Blood Orange Arms, and the rest being comprise of the Ringo Arms. He uses the Blood Zakuro lockseed, which is a repaint of the Suika lockseed, and the Blood Orange lcokseed from Bujin Gaim.

** Zangetsu's ''Gaiden''-exclusive Watermelon Arms is simply a repainted Melon Arms wielded a repainted Melon Defender with a [[GatlingGood Gatling gun]] mounted on it. The Watermelon Lockseed itself is, oddly enough, a repaint of Baron's Mango Lockseed.
** Similarly, Duke's ''Gaiden''-exclusive Lemon Arms Lockseed is a repaint of Ryugen's Kiwi Lockseed.
