* There were plans for two Devil May Cry games to be released on the PSP. ** A Remake of the first Devil May Cry was in order, it reached a far stage of development as screenshots and an official Box Art became available, however the game got silently killed as Capcom simply stopped talking about it, oddly enough the media didn’t pursue answers either; it got swiftly swept under the rug. ** A game with focus on The Legendary Dark Knight was planned, this one never went anywhere compared to the attempted portable remake though, it just got a tentative title of “Devil May Cry: Dance of Sparda” and nothing more. * The first E3 trailer for the first Devil May Cry had a few differences compared to the Final Game, Dante had no long coat, it was just a red jacket; Sparda as his demon self was exactly the same as what ended up being Alastor.

Capcom stated that the sales of DMC 4: Special Edition was not the deciding point for the series' future.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: Y'know how the sales figures for Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will dictate whether or not there will be a Devil May Cry 5? You also know how Capcom released it very close to VideoGame/BatmanArkhamKnight?

Bechdel test is not trivia. Not even a trope. Its usage should be reserved for when the test, or something very much like it, is directly referenced.
* UsefulNotes/TheBechdelTest: Passed on two occasions. The first is in ''Devil May Cry 2'' between Matier and Lucia when the latter is [[spoiler:distraught about her real origins, but Matier reassures her that the value of their history and experience is far greater than the circumstances of Lucia's birth]]. The second time is during the last cutscene of ''Devil May Cry 4'' as Trish and Lady are excited about their next job of demon hunting.

** Though its probably obvious to anyone that DMC4 was rushed due to the fact the second half is just the first half in reverse, but apparently Dante was going to have completely original levels with original bosses after a a bigger bad would be revealed. That would explain why the weapons Dante gets have nothing to do with the demons he kills to get them, which is a change from 3 where the Devil Arms were related to the demons Dante fought.

*StealthPun: Devil Arms are powerful weapons created from demons, usually seen as melee weapons (with some exceptions like Pandora, Geryon, and the Doppleganger). Nero never uses any Devil Arms as his weapon like Dante, but it isn't necessary because he literally has a ''devil arm''.
