* ProductionPosse: Pretty much most of the big names that were slated to make ''Silent Hills'' are involved in this game, which alongside Norman Reedus and Guillermo del Toro mentioned above there's also horror mangaka Creator/JunjiIto who provided his likeness as a cameo. Additionally, most of the Japanese dub's cast are ''VideoGame/MetalGear'' veterans. Artist Yoji Shinkawa, who has worked as Kojima go-to character and mech designer since ''Metal Gear Solid'', fills in the same role on this project too. Ludvig Forssell returns as the composer after working with Kojima on ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolidVThePhantomPain''.

* IKnewIt: Many fans believed that Mikkelsen was involved with the game. The Game Awards 2016 trailer confirmed this.

** Due to first trailer suggesting Sam was a MisterSeahorse, some fans have taken to calling this game "''[[{{Squick}} MPreg: The Game]]''". They've also taken to boiling the plot down to "[[RhymesOnADime Norman Reedus and his Funky Fetus]]".
** Many just refer to Sam Bridges as Norman Reedus in spite of his character having a name within the game.
** Calling the baby "Funky Fetus" or "Norman Fetus".
** Some have taken to calling Creator/MadsMikkelsen's character and his undead entourage "Squad leader Mads and the skeleton lads."
** Amelie is sometimes referred to as [[Series/ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia Sweet Dee]] due to their similarities in appearance.
** The "Beached Things" are antagonistic otherworldy creatures that Sam can encounter and kill. They are officially given the acronym of BT or [=BTs=].
