* CareerResurrection: After their career fluctuated with the controversial ''Tsubusa Chronicle'' and ''xxxHolic'' endings, the negative reception of ''Anime/BloodC'' and their newer hit-or-miss works, CLAMP released the sequel of ''Cardcaptor Sakura'' in 2016 which earned good sales and an 2018 anime series with the old cast and staff returning.

** Good news: DiscotekMedia has announced that they licensed the first movie and will release the remastered version in 2014.
*** More good news: [[Creator/NipponIchi NISAmerica]] just got the series, and they're releasing it fully remastered, with the Animax dub (it's in mono only but better than nothing).
*** [[RuleOfthree Even more good news,]] Crunchyroll will now be streaming the series, along with the Animax dub.

* NamesTheSame: ''Cardcaptor Sakura'' isn't the only series with [[Series/PowerRangersMysticForce a videographer named Madison]], the dub name for Daidoji Tomoyo.
* RealityIsUnrealistic: Sakura's dub voice actor received a lot of flack for sounding too much like a teenager or like a boy due to her low-pitched tone. In reality, [=Carly McKillip=] was 11 when she started doing the voice.

* OneHitWonder: Sakura's Spanish voice actress, Isabel Gaudí, is pretty much known only for this work. She had just one important work before voicing Sakura, and afterwards went to voice only a handful of minor roles before retiring from voice acting altogether and turning to sporadic TV acting.

** In Spain, the movies's rights were bought by a different distributor and the product got a completely new voice cast, despite the voice cast from the series being disponible for a special work like they did with the ''Anime/DigimonAdventure'' movie the same year. This gratuitous change (which came complete with a perceivedly shoddy translation, unlike the accurate adaptation made with the series) was deeply disliked by the fandom, and a redub with the original voices was asked for years to no avail.

* StarMakingRole: In the Mexican Spanish dub, Sakura Kinomoto was {{Creator/CristinaHernandez}}' breakout role (along with [[Anime/SailorMoon Chibiusa]] and [[WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls Blossom]]) since it was a pretty obvious role for her, as she was typecasted at first for voicing [[TokenMiniMoe cute little girls]].

* HeyItsThatVoice: Seems the series has a lot of VA's inside and outside of Japan who voiced, or would later on voice, characters from the ''Gundam'' franchise:
** In the English dub, [[Creator/BrianDrummond Sakura's dad]] is most famous for being [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing The Lightning Count]] and [[Anime/DeathNote a Shinigami]]. [[Anime/DragonBallZ Better hide those scouters though...]]
*** In [[Creator/HideyukiTanaka the original]] though, He was a lieutenant who fought in [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam the One-Year War]]... Just make sure to steer away from him once he unleashes his '''[[VideoGame/FZero FALCON PUUUUUUUNCH!]]'''
** In the English dub, Kero, Yukito, and Touya were [[WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy Ed, Edd, and Eddy]], in that order.
** Tomoyo became [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamWingEndlessWaltz a young figurehead for an uprising]], all because she was the supposed daughter of a MagnificentBastard.
** Aside for being ''WesternAnimation/CaptainNTheGameMaster''! [[Creator/MattHill Kero]] later on became [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED The Ultimate Coordinator]].
** Meanwhile, [[Creator/MotokoKumai Syaoran]] previously worked aboard the ''[[Anime/AfterWarGundamX Freeden]]'' as a young [[GadgeteerGenius gadgeteer]] [[ChildProdigy prodigy]].
** [[Creator/TomokazuSeki Touya]] may have a hidden [[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam Glowing Hand]], or [[Creator/KirkThornton in the dub,]] a mobile suit [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam0083StardustMemory loaded with a nuke.]]
** [[Creator/SamuelVincent Yukito]] later became [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED a Coordinator]], [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam00 an Innovade]], and considering [[Creator/SteveStaley his VA in the 2nd Movie]], [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamUnicorn a Newtype.]] In the original, he was also [[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion Shinji Ikari]].
** In relation to that, [[NicoleOliver Meiling]] also became [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam00 an Innovade with the same genetic pattern as Yukito.]] Previously, [[Creator/{{Yukana}} she]] was [[Anime/MobileSuitZetaGundam a Blue-haired Cyber Newtype]] before she swapped her [[HumongousMecha mobile suit]] for [[InfiniteStratos a blue powered armor with remote bits.]]
** After everything's been taken care of, [[Creator/NicoleOliver Enchantress Mahoudoushi and Meiling]] (except in Movie 2 for the latter) move on to become [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic a Sun Princess and a school teacher]].
** [[Creator/MikiIto Tomoyo's]] [[Creator/VenusTerzo mom]] was [[Anime/MobileSuitZetaGundam the Last of the Zabi Family]], before becoming [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEEDDestiny the captain of the Minerva]]
** [[Creator/KikukoInoue Yelan]] was previously [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamThe08ThMSTeam a test pilot for Zeon's experimental mobile armor.]]
** [[Creator/NozomuSasaki Eriol]] was actually [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack the son of Bright]], who then later grew to be [[Anime/AfterWarGundamX a Yandere pilot with serious Big Brother issues]].
** And it seems the [[Creator/KotonoMitsuishi owner of the Twin Bells Shop]] just got promoted to [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED Captain of the Archangel...]] only to retire after the war, and later open up [[Anime/GundamBuildFighters another shop which sells model kits.]]
** Meanwhile, [[Creator/KatsuyukiKonishi Mr. Terada]][[note]]at least his Japanese voice actor from the second season[[/note]] later piloted a Gundam [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam00 with a fake solar reactor and a BFS]]... All while [[TengenToppaGurrenLagann wearing triangle shades and constantly pointing towards the heavens.]]
** Eriol and Yue are [[Manga/YuYuHakusho Yusuke and Kurama]], respectively.

** Sadly, the second movie remains stuck in the limbo, at least in North America. Even more frustrating considering it's the SeriesFinale.
