** There was one murder tied to the game, however: specifically, person X stole person Y’s spot at the machine, Y threatened X, and Y got booted from the arcade. X was given very specific instructions on how to go home; namely to not, under any circumstances, go the same direction as Y, out of fear that he’d violently retaliate. He didn’t listen, and got murdered. It could’ve been any game, and it could’ve not been at an arcade altogether, but it was and over the controversial Berzerk at that, which made it an easier target than any of the actual causes.
