** Querl Dox is played by Jesse Rath. A version of him from an undesignated GenderBentAlternateUniverse is played by his older sister Creator/{{Meaghan|Rath}}.

* TroubledProduction: Because of to the UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic, the 2019/2020 run was cut short for ''Series/TheFlash2014'', ''Series/Supergirl2015'' and ''Series/Batwoman2019'' due to production being halted out of health concerns.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Creator/CameronCuffe would have reprised his role as Seg-El from ''Series/{{Krypton}}'' for the ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' event, but they had scheduling problems.
** Creator/MichaelRosenbaum was approached by Warner Bros about reprising his role as Lex Luthor from ''Smallville'' in ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' as well. Although he doesn't consider the role an OldShame and had no scheduling problems, he turned down the chance to reprise his role because Warner Bros didn't mention anything about what his role would be.

** The Atom is played by Creator/BrandonRouth, while [[TimeShiftedActor the adult Nora Darhk from the future]] is played by Routh's wife Courtney Ford.

** Originally [[ComicBook/BlueBeetle Ted Kord/Blue Beetle]] was supposed to be in ''Arrow'' season 3 but the highers-up at DC had other plans for him, so [[ComicBook/TheAtom Ray Palmer/The Atom]] was brought in as a substitute. This resulted in ''Arrow'' Ray having more in common with Ted than comics Ray (with a healthy dose of [[Franchise/IronMan Tony Stark]] as well), and he wasn't confirmed to have his signature shrinking power until ''Legends''.

* ActingForTwo: Becomes more prominent after TheMultiverse is introduced, as characters start meeting their respective AlternateSelf. Special mention goes to Creator/TomCavanagh, as between impersonators and alternate universe versions of Harrison Wells the number of different personalities he has to come up with grows exponentially. Creator/JohnWesleyShipp is similar, if only for bringing in ''Series/{{The Flash 1990}}'' as part of the multiverse.

** Creator/RachelSkarsten was considered to reprise her ''Series/{{Birds Of Prey}}'' role as Laurel Lance for the series. Skarsten was eventually cast as Red Alice in ''Series/{{Batwoman 2019}}''.
** Andy Mietnus auditioned for The Flash before the casting of Creator/GrantGustin. He would eventually go on to portray Hartley Rathaway in "[[Recap/TheFlash2014S1E11TheSoundAndTheFury The Sound and the Fury]]".

* CreatorBacklash: A good chunk of the actors - Creator/EmilyBettRickards, Creator/WillaHolland, Creator/CaityLotz, Creator/ColtonHaynes, Creator/DaniellePanabaker, and Creator/KatieCassidy herself - were not happy about the decision to kill off Laurel.

* BadExportForYou: ''Crisis of Infinite Earths'', in the UK. No broadcaster has bought the rights to Batwoman, so episode 2 will be missing when Sky One airs the rest of it in early 2020.[[https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2019-12-05/crisis-on-infinite-earths-missing-episode/]]

* TheCastShowoff: Creator/JohnBarrowman, Creator/JeremyJordan, Creator/JesseLMartin, Creator/VictorGarber, Carlos Valdes, Creator/GrantGustin, and Creator/MelissaBenoist all got to show off their singing voices during ''The Flash'''s MusicalEpisode; the first four are Broadway trained (Martin's StarMakingRole was debuting the role of Collins in ''RENT''), Valdes previously sang for a rock band, and Gustin and Benoist both starred on ''Series/{{Glee}}''.

* DirectedByCastMember: Among the actors who have directed or is confirmed to direct for their respective shows are: Creator/TomCavanagh, Creator/DavidRamsey, Creator/DaniellePanabaker, and Creator/DavidHarewood. This coming year, Melissa Benoist, Caity Lotz, and Katie Cassidy will be directing an episode of their shows.

* FakeGuestStar: Some recurring actors put in enough time equal or more than the series regulars. Caity Lotz clocked 22 episodes of ''Arrow'' season 2 as an ordinary guest star. Brandon Routh put in 16 episodes for Season 3 and was given a "Special Guest Star" distinction. Come Year 4, the shows began using a "Special Appearance By" billing for actors who were advertised as main cast members, but were technically recurring [[note]]Neal [=McDonough=] (''Arrow'' and ''Legends''), Tom Felton (''Flash''), and Matt Ryan (''Legends'')[[/note]].

** Kuasa was voiced by Anika Noni Rose in ''Vixen'' and played by Tracy Ifeachor in ''Legends of Tomorrow''.

** The (Green) Arrow is played by Creator/StephenAmell while his cousin Creator/{{Robbie|Amell}} plays Ronnie Raymond - aka Firestorm (well half of him). Robbie's wife Italia Ricci also played Siobhan Smythe/Silver Banshee on ''Series/{{Supergirl|2015}}'', while Stephen's wife, Cassandra Jean Amell, played Nora Fries for [[Series/{{Elseworlds 2018}} 2018's crossover]].
** Since the previous ''[[Series/TheFlash1990 Flash]]'' series was retroactively made part of the SharedUniverse via TheMultiverse, then it has Creator/KatieCassidy's (Dinah Laurel Lance/Black Canary and Dinah Laurel Lance/Black Siren) father David as Sam Scudder/The Mirror Master.

** The COVID-19 outbreak has effected pretty much every show in some manner, including the 2020-2021 season premieres being delayed indefinitely to some point in 2021.

** ''The Flash'' started bringing in characters from previous DC-based shows played by their original actors, most prominently Mark Hamill as the Trickster and John Wesley Shipp as Barry Allen/the Flash himself. ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'' is set to have more of these, including not only [[Film/SupermanReturns Brandon Routh]] (who already is an Arrowverse cast member) but also [[Series/{{Smallville}} Tom Welling]] as Clark Kent/Superman.

** Mark Hamill played the Trickster in the 1990s Flash show and in ''Justice League Unlimited''.
** John Wesley Shipp reprises this version of Barry for ''Series/{{Elseworlds 2018}}'' after the 90's series was cancelled early.
** The New Reichsmen are portrayed by their main counterparts' actors, along with Tom Cavanaugh as Eobard Thawne.

** It's even taking place ''across the shows within the universe'', as [[spoiler:Black Siren]] turned up on ''Series/TheFlash2014'' shortly after the character's counterpart was killed off on ''Series/{{Arrow}}'', and Team Flash talked about how much they loved the character in question; on top of that, [[spoiler:Black Siren]]'s abilities were generally viewed as a better depiction of the comic book character.

** The press releases for the 2016-2017 season said that [[Creator/WentworthMiller Captain Cold]] and [[Creator/KatieCassidy Laurel]] were to be major recurring players while [[Creator/JohnBarrowman Malcolm Merlyn]] was to be a regular on ''all'' the shows. It was nothing but hype as Cold and Laurel only made a handful of appearances, while Merlyn's non-''Legends'' appearances have all been explicit crossovers, and then [[spoiler: he was apparently killed off in the Arrow Season 5 finale.]]

* OutOfOrder: Trying to juggle and balance airdates between the shows and their concurrent stories has proven difficult to handle. The deliberate plotlines being shared between shows work out alright, such as "Flash vs Arrow" and "The Brave and the Bold" airing as a special two night event. But when characters are shared without actually sharing plotlines it often ends up being vague and confusing on when this would take place on the other show. Most notably, Barry's appearance on ''Supergirl'' revealed a major plot development for Barry weeks before his show caught up ([[spoiler: he was using Eobard Thawne's tachyon generator to increase his speed, a device that attached to his chest around the lightning bolt symbol]]). At one point later in the Flash's second season, Barry [[spoiler: loses his speed]] for a few episodes, but a scene in an episode of Arrow that aired after the first of these episodes showed that [[spoiler: he'd gotten it back]], 2 weeks before the episode in which he did aired.

* TrollingCreator: After a photo of the Arrow and Firestorm surfaced on the internet, fans assumed there was a crossover of some sort. Eventually, [[http://comicbook.com/2015/02/20/robbie-amell-says-arrow-firestorm-photo-was-a-joke/ Robbie Amell had to intervene and clarify it was a joke]]. Then it turns out that [[spoiler:Firestorm, Flash and the Arrow all team up against the Reverse-Flash]], so we got trolled ''twice''.

** An amusing side-effect of adopting ''Series/TheFlash1990'' into the multiverse of the Arrowverse. Creator/JohnWesleyShipp and [[RemakeCameo other actors from that series have had significant roles]] on the 2014 show (including an amusing use of recycled archive footage to depict Creator/MarkHamill's Trickster character 25 years ago in the prime universe). But when images of TheMultiverse are seen, Shipp ends up playing both Henry Allen in the prime universe and a Flash elsewhere in the multiverse. And at the end of Season 2 it's revealed [[spoiler:he's also Jay Garrick.]]

* HypotheticalCasting: According to Marc Guggenheim, if [[Franchise/{{Batman}} Bruce Wayne]] is to finally appear, he'd rather him be played by Creator/JensenAckles.

* HostilityOnTheSet: After ''Series/CrisisOnEarthX'' it became apparent that the ''Arrow'' writers and ''The Flash'' writers do ''not'' get along -- the subsequent ''Flash'' episode had Iris take a shot at Felicity and Oliver for hijacking their wedding, while the subsequent ''Arrow'' episode opened with Oliver and Felicity's reception with everything gushing about their romance.

** Thanks to ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'', we now also have two for Creator/BrandonRouth and Creator/TomWelling - Earth-96's Clark Kent looking a lot like Ray Palmer, and Earth-167's Clark Kent looking a lot like Earth-666's Cain.

** Vanessa Przada previously played Erika Morrison in the Supergirl and younger Ava Sharper in Legends of Tomorrow
** Melissa Roxburgh played Blake an high school friend of Thea in Arrow's season 1 and Betty Seaver in Legends Of Tomorrow season implying that was a case of an identical granddaughter.
** Vincent Gale was Pyotr Friedkin in the Arrow then Dr. Rohan Vose in Supergirl.

** Brandon Routh is finally playing Superman again in ''Crisis on Infinite Earths'', years after ''Film/SupermanReturns''. But Warner Bros did not allow them to use his suit from that film for some reason.[[note]]Possibly because Warner Bros stores each costume they make in an archive after it's done and dislikes bringing them out. But that doesn't explain why the Arrowverse people didn't just try to recreate it.[[/note]] As a result, he's wearing a suit based on the ''ComicBook/KingdomCome'' incarnation of Superman instead, and it's yet unclear if he is still meant to be the same Superman as in ''Returns'' and thus the Creator/ChristopherReeve films.
