* FranchiseKiller: ''Quantumania'' under-performing at the box-office has [[https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2024/03/14/mcu-report-no-eternals-2-captain-marvel-3-ant-man-4-as-disney-gets-risk-averse/ torpedoed]] any tentative plans Marvel Studios had for a fourth ''Ant-Man'' film.

** According to ''MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios'', Victoria Alonso's relationship with Marvel strained during the making of this movie. She had a falling out with Creator/KevinFeige, after she spoke out against Disney at the time. This infuriated Feige, as she broke his cardinal rule of not speaking out against the company. Feige reportedly didn't defend her when Disney fired Alonso from her job at Marvel, which occured just one month after the film's release.

* WordOfGod: [[https://www.cbr.com/ant-man-wasp-quantumania-modok-yellowjacket-connection/ According]] to Peyton Reed, Darren Cross returning as M.O.D.O.K. for this film was a serendipitous EurekaMoment for the writers. Reed and company were trying to figure out how to bring the Pyms and Langs into the Quantum Realm and how Kang could possibly know about the Ant Family. It then dawned on Reed that they'd ''already'' unwittingly introduced a potential 'inside man' back in the first ''Ant-Man'': Darren. Reed realized they could use Yellowjacket's implied fate from that film's climax as the mechanism to bring the Ant Family to the Quantum Realm and explain Kang's familiarity with them.

** The ending for this film was radically changed during post-production of this film. [[spoiler:Originally, [[https://thedirect.com/article/ant-man-3-ending-avengers-endgame-marvel-copying Scott and Hope were supposed to be trapped in the Quantum Realm and Kang would have escaped ]], but it was later overhauled because writer Jeff Loveness felt that it would be more interesting to give Scott a happy ending, but with an everlasting feeling of dread that he's done something horribly wrong. He also felt that the original ending would be repeating the TheStinger of ''Film/AntManAndTheWasp''.]]

** At one point the film was delayed to July 28, 2023, with ''The Marvels'' taking its February slot, had this stuck, ''Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania'' would've been the third film of Phase 5 instead of being the first installment.

I Knew It is now YMMV. Moving

* IKnewIt: Many people suspected that Darren Cross didn't actually die at the end of the first ''Film/AntMan1'' movie, due to his death scene looking like he was shrinking uncontrollably instead of anything life-threatening. Sure enough, he's shown to have mutated into MODOK, who acts at TheDragon for Kang.
