* EverythingsBetterWithMonkeys: Several pirate figures come with monkeys that clip onto their arms. Chimp figures with poseable heads and limbs also come with some sets.

* PublicDomainCharacter: Three "Fairy Tale" sets were made, which are based on "Snow White", "Cinderella", and "Hansel and Gretel". The Evil Queen in the "Special" theme seems to be part of the Snow White story as well, since she has a mirror. A duo pack set includes a Princess and Maid, both based on ''{{Disney/Cinderella}}''.

Playmobil will be getting its own animated movie in August 2019, ''WesternAnimation/PlaymobilTheMovie''.

* ClassicalMovieVampire: One gentlemanly one in the "Specials" theme, and a male and female pair in a "duo pack" set. There has also been a female classical vampire figure released in the Fi?ures line with a standard face on one side of the head and a specialized vampire face on the opposite side.

* EverythingsDeaderWithZombies: One appears in a haunted house "take along" set. There are also some zombie pirates that have glow-in-dark-skin.

* OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame: The "Knights" theme has introduced some dwarf characters, using the shorter adult legs debuting in the Toys/PlaymobilFigures theme.

* HighCollarOfDoom: There is a high collar piece that clips onto a figure's neck. Unsurprisingly, it's been worn by three evil queens (one of whom is a mermaid), one of Cinderella's wicked stepsisters, and a vampire in the [[Toys/PlaymobilFigures "Fi?ures"]] theme. Only two non-evil characters have worn the piece. There are capes with attached collars which are often used to the same effect.

* WickedWitch: Appears in several sets, with a hooked-nose glasses accessory and hunched cape to complete the effect. A green-skinned sorceress was released in the Fi?ures set that resembles Elphaba from Literature/{{Wicked}} or simply a more ornate Film/TheWizardOfOz witch.

* ObivouslyEvil: It's pretty easy to tell which characters are nice and which are bad if you look at their colors and outfits.

Playmobil has often been compared to Toys/{{LEGO}}, but there are some key differences. Playmobil is not a construction toy, although assembly is required for most of the sets. Until 2016, Playmobil did not license, either. The target age group for Playmobil is also generally regarded as younger than for LEGO.

One kind has a bright white face, slanted eyebrows added to the eyes, an open mouth with fangs, and wears fancy garb. The vampire woman from the "Fi?ures" set, however, has a normal face on one side of her light peach colored head, and a vampire face on the other side of her head that doesn't resemble any other Playmobil face, notably having realistic-looking eyes and a full mouth of teeth. The face not facing forward is covered up by her hair. A third vampire is clearly modeled off of recent pop culture vampires, with a light peach skin tone, the same face as the white-faced vampires, tousled long hair, and a rumpled tie.

* AnthropomorphicPersonification: The four seasons are represented as fairy princesses, and the Sun and Moon are represented by Princesses Sunny and Luna. The Queen of Night in the Fi?ures theme also counts.

* BedsheetGhost: There is a ghost shroud that covers most of a figures' body to achieve this look. The light-up ghost figure made in 2015 retains the amorphous look, but has more detailed "robes" and does not have a standard figure inside.
