* Music/{{Twice}}:
** 2019's one-two punch of "Fancy" and "Music/FeelSpecial" are two of the group's most revered songs, and the latter is one of their most personal. These songs have the side-effect of the following Korean comeback, 2020's "More & More" - despite cementing Twice as the girl group with the most music show wins and being the first Korean release to have an English version - being dismissed as one of their weakest releases.
** Music/{{Nayeon}}'s solo debut briefly rescued Twice from falling out of the mainstream, with "Pop!" charting at number two in Korea, higher than any post-2018 group song. Music/{{Jihyo}}'s solo "Killin' Me Good", from her DarkerAndEdgier ''Zone'' EP, did not do anywhere near as well commercially and only gave her one music show win. Nayeon's self-titled EP has had enough staying power for a performance of "No Problem" to be uploaded to the group's [=YouTube=] a week after the lyric video for the English version of "Killin' Me Good" and get far more views, suggesting that Nayeon's solo raised the bar pretty high for latter-day Twice material.
** First original English single "Music/TheFeels" was met with a lot of fanfare on release and helped solidify their international fanbase. It's also so far their most successful English single by far. While follow-up English singles "Moonlight Sunrise" and "I Got You" have been well received by the fandom (especially the latter), neither (especially not the latter) have had anywhere near as much of a global impact. "The Feels" has also had the side effect of causing immediate follow-up "Scientist" to be largely dismissed despite [[Music/FormulaOfLove its album]] being one of their best-received releases.

** Regarding their work, even if [[FirstInstallmentWins the first two albums win]] in most regards, the point that can't be lived down is seemingly the acclaimed seventh album ''Wasting Light'' -- [[https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/foo-fighters its follow-ups are clearly the ones fans found most underwhelming]]. That is until ''But Here We Are'', which while not as successful as ''Wasting Light'', it managed to escape the shadow of the predecessors [[GriefSong thanks to the subject matter and the circumstances surrounding it]], and it somehow was able to become [=RateYourMusic=]'s highest rated album. Only time will tell if they'll fall unto this a third time.

* Music/FooFighters initially proved to be one by {{Grunge}} fans while the post-Music/KurtCobain suicide headlines were still going strong, considering Dave Grohl's former band Music/{{Nirvana}} to be superior. Still, it worked, as Grohl would note that in 1995-6, all their concerts had primarily people in Nirvana shirts, but one decade later, the audience was clearly there for the Foo Fighters.
