** In Chapter 18, Volcano sends a tidal wave of magma at Izuku and his friends, uncaring of the fact one of them was holding the rocket containing ''VX'' gas. Had the Slayer not [[HumanShield took the lava blast]], Volcano would've condemned his team and Curator to a nasty death.

** Chapter 21, [[LeeroyJenkins Bakugou decides to try and fight the Doom Slayer]]. This is despite the fact he's slaughtered the Steel Sabers, beat up 48 heroes (including his homeroom teacher) and just bested All Might in combat, though he treated it as a spar. He gets captured, Miruko tries to intervene, only to get captured and Bakugou decides to release [[DidntThinkThisThrough another explosion, without looking about]]. Had All Might and Miruko not screamed for Bakugou to stop (as there was a leaking gas tanker a few feet away), and had the Slayer not threw the two away, Bakugou would have succeeded where ''All for One'' failed.

* In ''Fanfic/{{Deadshots}}'', when Azula (who is a better person than in canon but still a cunning and ruthless PragmaticHero) and Commander Zhao visit Kiyoshi Village looking for the Avatar, Zhao tries to destroy their statue of Avatar Kiyoshi, after Azula and Suki had already agreed to SacredHospitality. Azula challenges him to an Agni Kai for this insult to their hosts, and she would have killed him if she hadn't realized Aang was in Kiyoshi Village and was uncomfortable with killing (unbeknownst to Zhao, she wanted to recruit the Avatar to help her depose Ozai, not capture him as Zhao intended). When Azula spares him, he tries the same ISurrenderSuckers trick that he tried on Zuko in canon. Azula doesn't kill him then either, but she does declare him a Man Without Honor, which would have caused him to be as good as banished from the entirety of the Fire Nation if he hadn't managed to convince Ozai to keep him from being exiled.

* Hiro and Hifumi, in ''Fanfic/TheUltimateBigBrother'', try to get a look under Charlotte Katakuri's scarf, even despite Makoto Naegi's attempts to keep them from angering him, but they don't listen to him, ignoring the signs of TranquilFury. Suffice it to say, he erupts in anger soon enough while releasing a wave of Conqueror's Haki, and everyone learns that you '''do not''' press the BerserkButton of a 16-foot tall pirate rippling with muscle.

* In {{Fanfic/Fragmentation}}, a [=ComStar=] [[TheMole mole]] is wanted in four out of the five Successor States for [[PaedoHunt child molestation]]. That's bad enough. But what qualifies him for this trope is that in the Draconis Combine, his would-be victim was ''a member of the ruling Kurita family''.
