There's a collective panic every time the Mother Goose System shuts off for any reason, and about the best you can hope for when crossing the Red Man's path is the opinion that you're more fun alive than dead, as was the case with [[TheHero Ganta]] and [[BigBad Hagire Rinichiro]]. So, of course, you can imagine Ganta's shock when he finds out [[spoiler:that the same person who massacred his entire classroom, killed his best friend, gave him his Branch of Sin, and was responsible for everything in his life sucking was actually his childhood friend Shiro's SuperpoweredEvilSide, born from hellish, torturous experiments performed on her to unlock her full powers, and its awakening and subsequent gory slaughter of the scientists who experimented on her traumatized Ganta so much that he made himself forget Shiro even existed]].

* Mikan from ''Manga/RisingXRydeen'', also known as the "lightning god". Most of the bad guys are aware of her reputation and are smart enough to try to run away from her but she can move as fast as lightning so they're usually forced to fight her anyway.

* Jotaro Kujo from ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'' grows up and becomes one after his debut in Part 3. When he reappears in Parts 4 and 6, he's gained a reputation among other Stand Users not only for the raw power of Star Platinum, but also his [[GeniusBruiser high intelligence and great deductive powers]], letting him coolly track down his enemies and dismantle their plans before they even begin.

* The Irregulars from ''TowerOfGod''. Normally, people who climb the Tower to get their deepest desire fulfilled have to be Chosen and are invited as Regulars. Not these guys. They came and kicked the metaphysical doors open by themselves and every time that happened, the Tower underwent drastic changes. Five Irregulars are known. One was a man-made god who defeated the [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking entire]] [[WorldOfBadass ruling structure]] of the Tower and then simply disappeared. Before him came a person who slew a PhysicalGod and could create life. The third followed the former into the Tower, climbed it ten times faster than anyone else[[note]] it took him 50 years[[/note]] and built a NGOSuperpower that rivals the government. The fourth one was almost completely immune to magic and could copy any spell on sight. And the last one [[spoiler: was an incredibly normal girl who stabbed her best friend in the back]]. People are not very fond of Irregulars. They are afraid of them.
