* Much like each season having its own BigBad, half of the seasons have its own Dragon in AnsemRetort:

* ''Webcomic/{{Follower}}: General Richart has Aaron Carvan as his right hand man. Dr. Tolio, the head geneticist of Project Cottontail, may also be one.

** Tarquin [[TheManBehindTheMan pretends]] to be the dragon to the [[AdiposeRex Empress of Blood]] (ironically a dragon herself), and has his friend Malack as his own dragon.

* In ''{{Erfworld}}'', the [[GoodColorsEvilColors color-coded]] EvilOverlord's second-in-command is a powerful Croakamancer and far smarter than her boss. However, he has a [[MacGuffin divine artifact]], indulges her [[WhipItGood hobbies]] -- and she knows how to "arrange it so that he thinks it was his idea."

* ''{{Goblins}}'' has had two major Dragons so far -- one for each major plot arc. Saral Caine was [[spoiler:("was" being the operative word)]] Dragon for Dellyn Goblinslayer in the Brassmoon Arc. Grem [[spoiler:(until his HeelFaceTurn)]] and Riss were Dragons to Duv in Well of Darkness Arc. Not that Duv really needs a Dragon. She's more than {{Badass}} enough on her own...

* Karnak from ''DominicDeegan'' seems to have acquired a Dragon himself, in the form of [[spoiler:Siegfried]]. He doesn't seem to be particularly loyal to Karnak, though, as Karnak appears to have some kind of hold over him, and even then has to smack him around a bit to make him do his bidding.

* The Feline Emperor from ''BladeOfToshubi'' has his advisor, Toh, who himself has his own dragon in Lamika.

* [[http://www.drunkduck.com/Harkovast/index.php?p=643748 The Heretic]] in {{Harkovast}} serves as a Dragon for [[http://www.drunkduck.com/Harkovast/index.php?p=537111 The Speaker]]. Though The Speaker himself could be considered the Dragon for The King in the West.
* In {{RPG World}}, [[spoiler:Jeff]] is this to BigBad, Galgarion.
* In ''VoodooWalrus'' one gets the feeling that Shmeerm use to play this role to the former BigBad Cyradwee. Now he seems to be playing Dragon some someone else though.

* In ''TrueVillains'', Sebastian acts as Xaneth's apprentice and Dragon. He's pretty new at it, though.

* ''Webcomic/{{Hearcore}}'' has [[PsychoElectro Slade]], the second most powerful demon in the realm of Asgar and the right hand man of [[BigBad Royce Lashiec]]. He also counts as TheDreaded, due to being a complete nutjob who loves to torture his foes in combat, but he has also shown intention to wanting to kill his own allies out of boredom and curiosity.

** Jack Noir is ([[spoiler: [[TheStarscream was]]]]) the dragon to the Black Queen, and had his own sub-dragon in the form of the Draconian Dignitary.

** There has also been a conversation suggesting that the Draconian Dignitary is the Dragon to [[GameBreaker Bec Noir]].

** Redcloak is TheDragon and right-hand man (right-hand goblin?) to Xykon. The prequel book ''Start of Darkness'' shows that Xykon was, at one point, the dragon to Redcloak before becoming more powerful and carrying out a rather nasty gambit which involved [[spoiler:making Redcloak kill his brother and then ordering him to turn the corpse into a zombie. That didn't work out too well however, because in the end Xykon is still working towards Redcloaks goals, even if Xykon thinks he is in charge.]]

** Tarquin himself has his friend Malack as his dragon.

** Thog plays the role of muscle in the Linear Guild, although he's more of TheBrute than a true Dragon to Nale.

** Tarquin has gone into the business of being a Dragon-for-hire after his bid to become an EvilOverlord ended badly. He's currently working for a ''literal'' dragon, the Empress of Blood. Since the Empress is a gluttonous moron of a Red Dragon, he's more of TheManBehindTheMan in practice.

Most of them (Killum, Aylee, Kusari) have worked for the Hereti Corporation's [[TheOmniscientCouncilOfVagueness Omniscient Council of Vagueness]]. Other notables include Lord Grater (Dragon to Zorgon Gala in the Punyverse arc) and Nash Straw (Dragon to Dastard Dickly in the "Phoenix Rising" arc) and Lord Horribus (Dragon to the Demon King in the Dimension of Pain stories).

** Also, Sabine serves as Nale's Dragon in the Linear Guild, Crystal is Bozzok's for the Thieves' Guild, and Therkla to Daimyo Kubota.
*** Note that all three follow the more traditional Dragon pattern of being the brawn; Sabine is a succubus, Therkla is the highest-level character on Kubota's payroll, and Crystal is Bozzok's deadliest assassin, while also managing to be as dumb as rocks.

He does this by systematically "toppeling" an empire and renaming it and having the six of them swap partners on each empire so it looks like the usual war is still going on.]] [[MagnificentBastard It's working quite well]].
** Arguably, [[DarkChick Tsukiko]] has recently become CoDragons with Redcloak -- while he handles the goblin/hobgoblin Mooks, she's in charge of the Undead. And even if you don't think she qualifies, it should be noted that on at least one occasion, she's announced her goal to fully take Redcloak's position as TheDragon. [[spoiler:To the point where she became careless enough to say just that in Redcloak's actual presence. Whereupon he immediately murdered her.]]
