!!"Vengeance and the Night" provides examples of:

* Danny Phantom, himself. One of Danny Phantom's enemies tried to kill his family and friends in an attempt to find out his identity, only for Sam and Tucker, his only friends, to be the casualties as Danny arrived too late. Enraged, Danny came close to killing the enemy, and he couldn't bring himself to do it.
** The aftermath of it isn't even better. Danny became more violent and brutal over the years. This prompted Danny to distance himself from Danielle, keeping her away from his crime-fighting adventures, making her feel left out of her brother's life.
* The News Photos of Danny's crusade as the Ghost Child show him how much he's changed since Tucker and Sam's death, from being a quippy ghost fighter to a violent vigilante, it's just hard to read without cringing in sympathy for him.

Just because it's a world full of toons doesn't mean we can't have heartbreaking moments, right?

!!"Death of an Idol, Impact of a Legacy" provides examples of:

* Jimmy after hearing his idol, Superman: The Man of Steel, struggling in his battle with Doomsday, at first he starts to get stressed out after hearing what's going on, and he gets worried what might happen to him. Of course, if you've read the comic, you should know how it goes down. Sure, it's tragic for Clark's friends and family, but for Jimmy, it's devastating, knowing that Jimmy's source of inspiration to use his tech for good was being inspired by Superman's never-ending battle for Truth, Justice and the American Way, and Jimmy's mishaps with his inventions is all he has to show for it, making him feel he's inadequate and insignificant.
** Worse, Jimmy is in tears when the funeral is televised at the school on the day of the Funeral.

More to come soon...
