* The LAPD's view on the Cyberdyne standoff; ten years ago, an entire police station of their fellow officers was senselessly massacred in the line of duty while attempting to protect an innocent woman and, as one of the detectives informing Sarah of John's kidnapping earlier in the film, a good number of those officers had families which included children. Even after an extensive state-wide manhunt, the killer was never found. Then he shows up again all of a sudden ten years later and the chance to avenge their slain officers by way of either [[DeathRow the chair]] or [[VigilanteJustice the gun]] is presented to them... only for things to go tits-up once again; they accidentally mow down a civilian, the SWAT team barely escapes a gargantuan explosion that destroys an entire floor with their lives, the LAPD see their police cars shot into Swiss cheese, the same man who mowed down a police station is met with a hail of gunfire in the building's lobby, only for him to again embarass the force by not only being unfazed, but shooting every single officer non-fatally, seemingly as if to mock them, before disappearing into the night, never to be seen again.

This is more fitting

* As Sarah is about to murder Dyson in cold-blood in front of his family, she realizes that [[IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim she has become exactly like what she hates the most]] and collapses, shaken by fear and remorse.

** One of the parents in the playground is a version of Sarah herself, wearing her waitress uniform from the first movie and playing with a toddler-aged John. It's a heartbreaking glimpse of a life Sarah could have had if she hadn't known what was coming for them.
