* Eggman deciding to [[KickTheDog make Windmill Village ground zero for the Metal Virus outbreak]] is bad enough, but one panel in the unfolding chaos deserves special mention. A group of four kids (who can't be much older than Tails, by appearance), who are clearly long-time friends, help each-other up to the rooftops to escape the infectious liquid below. Only for the last one up to realize he's infected, turning and [[ShaggyDogStory likely taking the others with him.]] There's no dialogue for these panels, the images alone saying all they need to.

* In Issue #67, while Surge at least ''tries'' to keep things civil (even if she is a major {{troll}} about it, Kit spends the entire issue silently giving a DeathGlare to Sonic and his friends, as he still bitterly believes that they only ever saw him and his sister as weapons to be used against Eggman against their will. And the final page shows that yes, he ''does'' still want revenge on Tails for "lying" to him.

* Silver's expulsion from the Neo Diamond Cutters in Issue #64. All the poor guy wanted was something to do, but while Tangle and Whisper tried to help him, Mimic (disguised as "Duo the Cat" on a mission for Clutch) sabotaged their efforts to preserve his cover. The sheer ease with which Mimic pulls a WoundedGazelleGambit against Silver shows that, in a contest of wits against a [[ManipulativeBastard master manipulator]], [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome the over-eager psychic hedgehog is hopelessly outmatched]]. The one "silver" lining is that Blaze cheers him up after the mishap and they happily set out to visit Soleanna together.

* The Imposters Saga isn't much happier than the Zombot Arc past the first act, with [[CosmicPlaything Belle]], [[JerkassWoobie Surge, and Kit]] suffering the most. It's also the first storyline where '''''no one''''' involved--good, bad, or neutral--truly wins; even Sonic and Tails manage no better than a PyrrhicVictory by the end of the main arc.

** The [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone expression]] on Silver's face, and [[TearsOfRemorse Whisper's own reaction]], once they're convinced that Mimic's disguise is NotAMask. Feeling like she's been a bad influence on Silver, Whisper casts the final vote to kick him out so she'll never mislead him again. Silver, for his part, doesn't even ''try'' to protest his ouster; he simply leaves in shame without saying a word.
