Delysia leaves him and won't speak to him, he gets no information at all from Luther, and in his absence the Sun Guild has utterly taken over Veldaren. He and Zusa meet at the end, and what should have had shippers crying for joy is instead written as a horribly tragic DespairEventHorizon moment for the both of them.
