** [[spoiler: The insert song / special ending theme, ''True Feelings'' is the arguably the most heart-wrenching part about the episode, and maybe the entire show. It's a song about Nanako yearning to visit her mom in heaven and telling her dad that she will always love him.]]

** Same here. And it's especially poignant since [[spoiler: many considered Nanako kind of annoying the first few hours of the game. "GOd, she says that EVERY TIME!" is what I, among others, told myself. But you get so used to it, and through her social link you get to see just how sad this child is. You help her through it, you help mend a tiny broken family... and then tragedy strikes and you come home to that empty house and you realize just how much you actually loved your "lil' sis", and how true the old "you never know what you have until it's gone" cliché can ring.]] This troper had to sob into a pillow for a solid minute the first time he returned home after the abduction.

** In the next episode, Yu suffers a HeroicBSOD and shows his nightmare; a world in which the investigation is over and one by one the team members distance themselves from him. It's a very sad and heartbreaking deconstruction of FireForgedFriends.
*** Especially when Yu tries to summon his personas only for them to all fail because he no longer has any social links.

*** Especially when Yousuke's casual remark about how "it just goes to show that we were the only ones who thought we were friends," - followed immediately by Yu tries overhearing Kanji complaining about the group still meeting up for no reason and having to act friendly - hits particularly hard. * The small details the animation team added to the relationship between Yosuke and Saki really do help to make [[spoiler: the latter's death]] all the more heartbreaking. For one, there's the fact that Yosuke had actually gone as far as to ask Saki out on a date, and there's the scene at the beginning of #2 where after being turned down by Yukiko, he perks up and says that Saki is the only woman for him. [[spoiler: And then there's the crestfallen expression when Saki's death is announced and it's hard not to feel sorry for him in light of the context.]]
