** Special mention has to go to Usopp's futile attempt at retrieving the money from the Franky Family by himself, he begs, screams and cries, virtually pleading for them to give back the money to fix the Merry... and unknown to Usopp his reasons for doing so are pointless, the Merry can't be fixed and he's the only one who doesn't know.

** It gets worse when you remember that eating the Ope-Ope Fruit didn't automatically heal Law of his Amber Lead disease. By the time Corazon found out about it's whereabouts, Law had begun to succumb to the illness and held on through sheer willpower for ''three weeks''. When he did consume the fruit, he was still very sick and weak, fevered and heaving for oxygen, having to be carried by Corazon in their last moments together. Watching Law stumbling through the snow all by himself, still terminally sick, crying and sobbing hysterically... it's ''heartbreaking''.

** A small but notable from the flashback. Chopper wakes up at Hiruluk's home after the later takes the former in to nurse him back to health and looks noticeably confused at how someone could have possibly been kind to him. The clincher would be when Chopper eats some bread that Hiruluk had set out for him and is so touched by the man's compassion that she bursts into tears.

* In Chapter 719, we finally learn why Don Chinjao has a grudge against Garp. [[spoiler:Chinjao's head was once shaped like a drill and was hard enough for his [[UseYourHead head-slam]] SignatureMove to deliver enough force to crack an otherwise-unbreakable mountain of ice that was covering his clan's massive horde of hidden treasures. During a battle with Garp, his head was smashed downward, not only robbing him of his SignatureMove, but making him powerless to get to his treasure. Fortunately, for him, an attack from Luffy undid the damage to his head]].
