* {{Nerf}}: Since this is a miniatures game, nerfs are inevitably going to happen to many models during the transition to Warmachine/Hordes Mk.II (Mk.II = Second Edition).

* StoneWall: [[KnightInShiningArmor Paladins of the Order of the Wall]] can forfeit their movement or action to enter the aptly named Stone-and-Mortar stance, which bumps their armor into the high end of heavy warjack numbers.

* LightningBruiser: Lord Commander Coleman Stryker is quite tough even by warcaster standards, can [[DangerousForbiddenTechnique overload]] his [[PowerArmor warcaster armor]] to reach absurd levels of hitting power and can magically enhance his mobility ; as a result, he is essentially a one-man homing missile generally aimed at the enemy leader for a quick and brutal victory.

** At the end of Metamorphosis,[[spoiler: Kruger the Stormlord informs the dragon Blighterghast that his sibling, Everblight, is raising an army and intends to kill every other dragon and absorb their athancs, the source of draconic power that every dragon has in place of a heart. This distrubs Blighterghast greatly and he flys off, presumably to gather other dragons to put Everblight down.]]

He has also designed an [[{{BFG}} artillery cannon mounted at the fore-arm]] that can fire [[RecursiveAmmo cluster]] [[BigBulkyBomb shells]] that can spread [[DeathInAllDirections dozens of yards]] from the point of impact (like back onto your [[WeHaveReserves front lines]]), wields a giant hammer whose head detonates on contact, and wears a suit of [[EnergyAbsorption blast armor]] that takes explosive force and turns it into arcane energy. Unsurprisingly, his feat [[UpToEleven compounds]] this dangerously for every friendly weapon in his general vicinity with a [[StuffBlowingUp shockwave.]]

* BaldOfAwesome: The Butcher of Khardov. Able to scrap a Warjack with relative ease. Tougher than most non-Khador 'Jacks. He got his name by slaughtering the entire militia of the village of Boarsgate, [[BaldOfEvil as well as the troops he brought with him.]] By the time he was finished, the rats had to jump from body to body to avoid drowning in the blood.

* StaffChick: Averted by Kaya the Wildborne, druid and warlock of Circle Orboros. She wields a staff, yes, and her magic is geared more towards support than straight offensive damage; however, that staff is also a highly functional bludgeoning weapon, and using Kaya to beat an enemy warcaster or warlock to death in melee is actually a very effective combat tactic.
** Also averted by Fiona The Black, Mercenary warcaster and Pirate Captain. Again she wields a staff, and she's even more of a support player than Kaya... but she is not to be approached in melee by those without the stomach for it. Her staff, Viper, ''completely'' shuts down a warlock's ability to evade damage for one round, disables healing and ''tough''ness, and ignores spell bonuses to defense and armor.

* AnIcePerson: Vayl, Disciple of Everblight.

* GunsAkimbo: Allister Caine, Master Holt, Taryn Di La Rovissi and Pistol Wraiths.

** Kommander Sorscha has one two, that [[KillItWithIce freezes]] folks when hit with it.

* NayTheist: The skorne know that gods exist. Theyjust don't have any of their own, and view worshiping gods as a weakness, and in fact, held the Iosans' dependence on their gods against them for several millenia before the current storyline.

* SinisterScythe: Moshar the Desertwalker has himself a very nasty looking scythe. The Cryx warcaster Scaverous does him one better, with a ''[[ChainsawGood chainsaw]]'' scythe.

* FriendToAllChildren: Strangely this is a trait developed by a Warjack Rociante of all things.
