* This is one of the main powers of all Kryptonians. Pre-Crisis it was due to having super-dense bodies[[note]]Red sunlight could still make them vulnerable, though[[/note]], ComicBook/PostCrisis it was powered by yellow solar energy. The exact limits of Kryptonian strength are unknown, but they are capable of lifting far in excess of 100 tons. Different periods and intensities of exposure to Earth's solar radiation can cause their strength to fluctuate over time. Kryptonians' known feats include lifting an enormous pyramid and flying it to Mars without any strain and having the strength necessary to shatter small planets. Unhealthy levels of high exposure to specific radiation can exceed Kryptonians' "normal" strength level. The major examples:

* Franchise/{{Green Lantern}}s and in general ''all'' Lanterns (of any color) have enhanced strength thanks to their [[ImaginationBasedSuperpower rings and mental constructs]], and with [[CombinationAttack the power of numbers]] Lantern wielders even can incapacitate Kryptonians or even gods. Kyle Rayner could [[https://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/12/124784/3878919-3558495743-Green.jpg hold up a burning building]] and Kilwog could [[https://static.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_super/3/38919/1868081-kilowog_vs_arkillo.jpg lift up an aircraft carrier]]. Hal Jordan in particular [[http://i.imgur.com/XquQQxD.jpg can punch out Lobo]], help Superman [[http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11/119238/2865046-2542057_12.jpg pull the Earth]], [[https://comicnewbies.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/hal-jordan-kills-guy-gardner-3.jpg rip off Guy Gardner's arm]], [[http://i.imgur.com/5SKLeXi.jpg broke Black Lantern Spectre's jaw]] and once punched ArchEnemy Sinestro so hard he broke reality. However subverted with the Lanterns on two regards, 1) an opponent with greater strength can destroy the Lantern constructs and overpower the wielder [[https://comicnewbies.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/superman.jpg e.g Superman]], and 2) it's actually more beneficial being an alien who already has enhanced strength to [[RequiredSecondaryPowers adequate]] the Lantern's power better.
* [[ComicBook/{{Shazam}} Captain Marvel]] has this in spades due to having the Strength of Hercules, which is often further augmented by the Power of Zeus. Cap was one of the earliest superstrong heroes alongside Superman during the Golden Age and it's generally agreed that it was the rivalry between Superman and Captain Marvel that caused them to become so powerful over time. When Superman started out, he could lift a car over his head and rip steel doors off their hinges. By his third appearance, Captain Marvel was lifting over 200 tons worth of weight in either hand. They kept outdoing each other in this way until both were capable of affecting planetary bodies through sheer brute strength. * Doomsday is generally depicted as being even stronger than Superman. DC's flimsy justification is every time Grundy dies and is [[ResurrectiveImmortality reborn]] in the Slaughter Swamp he may get stronger, weaker or even gain intelligence depending on the mood.
* [[Characters/JusticeLeagueOfAmericaAntagonist Shaggy Man]] is easily one of the strongest brutes in DC and predates Doomsday by several decades. Although he's [[BadassDecay decayed]] a bit in recent comics with Wonder Woman [[https://i.imgur.com/uFP7bXU.jpeg decisively overpowering him]] in ''DC Rebirth''.

** ComicBook/{{Cyborg}} while he gets overshadowed all the time is still very strong being able [[https://i.imgur.com/mQQpYox.jpg stop a speeding subway train]], slam TheBrute [[https://i.imgur.com/MSEpput.jpg Mammoth into the ground]] and even [[https://i.imgur.com/xhOcu4U.jpg draw blood from Shazam]].
* ComicBook/MartianManhunter; even Superman explicitly names him as one person he wouldn't want to tangle with. Perfectly understandable as [=MM=] has been strong enough [[http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/2/27470/1342465-worldsfinest1972212065qa.jpg to draw blood from Supes]] since early comics and has overpowered Clark multiple times. Martian Manhunter has also [[https://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11112/111126230/3587617-4839008059-marti.jpg wrecked Black Adam]] and even [[https://static1.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11129/111293601/5324748-3492394342-xKdxX.jpg lifted Brainiac's mothership]] (which is bigger than Earth) alongside Clark.

** Atlanteans in general are far stronger than normal humans, but Aquaman is super strong even by Atlantean standards due to either being a human[=/=]Atlantean hybrid or being royalty.
* Franchise/TheFlash of course is best known for his SuperSpeed which gives him ability to pull off a [[MegatonPunch Infinite Mass Punch]] and take out Superman-level opponents, but in Issue 45# of his ''ComicBook/DCRebirth'' series Barry Allen temporarily gets genuine SuperStrength when he accidentally taps into the "Strength Force" (seriously). It's worth noting that while 10 tons may be the ''official'' statistic, Spider-Man has lifted far greater weights and on occasion struggled with far lighter ones, with DependingOnTheWriter being in effect even ''more'' than is traditional for comics. One comic can depict him struggling with someone with lower Super Strength (e.g Captain America), and another had him literally [[https://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11112/111123560/3713449-ppsm98-1.jpg support the weight of most of the Daily Bugle]] and lifting a 20 ton [[http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/12/128017/2477359-1544526-spiderman_lifts_subway_car_super.jpg subway train while thoroughly pissed off]].
