Music/AesopRock, Action Bronson, Music/ElP, 3rd Bass (aside from DJ Richie Rich, who was black), Asher Roth, Yung Lean, Yelawolf, Jedi Mind Tricks (aside from Jus Allah, who is black), 7L & Esoteric (who nowadays are far more likely to be known as part of Czarface), Jelly Roll, Ghostemane, $uicideboy$, Stitches, Music/MacMiller, [=RiFF=] RAFF, Cage, Necro (''maybe'' also Ill Bill, his brother, but it's unlikely), R.A. the Rugged Man, Slaine, Kno, Mickey Avalon, Bubba Sparxxx and Music/GEazy might get a weak token mention, and there may also be a ''very'' rare Eyedea mention that is almost entirely due to DeadArtistsAreBetter (and if they do, they'll probably also mention his friend/protege Sadistik as well). Slug of Music/{{Atmosphere}} (who is sometimes mistakenly called "[[IAmNotShazam Atmosphere]]") is often lumped together in this category, though he's actually of mixed ancestry. The others remain virtually unheard of.

In his heyday, he was not even close to being considered a one-hit wonder, and believe it or not [[ChartDisplacement "U Can't Touch This was actually the lowest charting song of his many Top 10 hits.]]

* Music/RickAstley only ever made one song in his entire career, "[[JustForFun/{{Rickroll}} Never Gonna Give You Up]]". Never mind the fact that he had ''another'' #1 hit, and ''thirteen'' songs that reached the Top 10.
* When talking about Music/LinkinPark, most people will only refer to their NuMetal material from ''Music/HybridTheory'' and ''Music/{{Meteora}}''. More specifically the only songs they'll refer to are "One Step Closer", "Crawling", "In the End", and "Numb" (and maaaaaaybe "Breaking the Habit"). The only songs released after they switched their sound that get acknowledged are "What I've Done" and "New Divide" due to them being the theme songs of the [[Film/{{Transformers}} Bayformer]] films.

What's frustrating about this is that AC/DC rival the Rolling Stones for the title of most wildly popular rock band ''in the world'', and are continuing to release new material in their classic style. Yet almost no one can name any member of the band except for Angus Young (probably because [[CatholicSchoolGirlsRule Catholic School Boys Rule]]). ** But thanks to the promotion for ''VideoGame/CallOfDutyBlackOpsII'', now the only song by AC/DC anyone knows is "Back In Black." This was largely true beforehand as well, but the ad pushed the song to new heights, doing everything save bringing it to pop radio (which very well could have.)

** Nu metal? Music/{{Korn}}, Music/{{Slipknot}}, Music/LimpBizkit, Music/{{Disturbed}}, Music/PapaRoach, Music/SystemOfADown and Music/LinkinPark.
