In the 1980s, Dani Clayton (Pedretti) leaves America for England, and begins to work as a governess for orphans Miles (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) and Flora (Amelie Smith). Dani becomes increasingly involved in learning why the orphans are so disturbed, and in doing so, unravels the dark history of Bly Manor and its inhabitants.
