* ThrowTheDogABone: At least two of the Mr. Bill Ramada Inn ads start off with Mr. Bill experiencing his usual bad luck, one showing Mr. Bill booking at an outlandishly expensive hotel that costs him an arm and a leg (literally) and another having Mr. Bill book at a dingy cheap-o hotel where the Murphy bed falls on him, but then end with Mr. Bill sleeping peacefully in his room at Ramada Inn without anything else bad happening to him and then waving happily to the viewer from the hotel sign.

* DemotedToExtra: Miss Sally after joining the cast and becoming primary member of the sketches during season 5 of SNL, barely appears afterwards in future Mr. Bill material. She has a brief appearance in the 20th anniversary special and does get a supporting appearance in the Christmas special. In Ohh Nooo! Mr Bill Presents show, she makes no appearances at all.
** Sluggo in the "Ohh Nooo! Mr Bill Presents show" makes appearances here and there, but it somewhat reduced compared to other Mr. Bill sketches.

* BitchInSheepsClothing: Mr. Hands acts like Mr. Bills friend and comes off as seemly friendly, however he is clearly just as much of a cruel bully as Sluggo.

* SurprisinglyHappyEnding: "Mr. Bill's Christmas Special" from ''SNL'''s sixth season in December 1980. While Mr. Bill, Miss Sally, and Spot remain homeless following the events of season 5 (spending the duration of the short huddled around a fire outside in snowy weather), they're still together for the holidays, and Mr. Hands and Sluggo are nowhere to be found! The flashbacks to Mr. Bill's childhood Christmases, on the other hand...

*BackFromTheDead: All Mr. Bill segments end with Mr. Bill utterly destroyed-however he always returns in the following sketch completely back to normal, at least till the end of the sketch.

* ButtMonkey: Mr. Bill in spades, though Spot generally exists just to be killed or maimed by Mr. Hands without reprecussion before worse happens to Mr. Bill

*CannotTellAJoke: In ''Mr. Bill Does Vegas'', Mr. Bill tries to do stand up comedy but is very terrible at it. He only gets laughs from the audience when something bad happens to him.

* LikeFatherLikeSon: Show business and bodily harm runs in Mr. Bill's family. His grandfather was a silent actor who went by the stage name of "Vaudeville Bill", and was just as tormented by his co-stars as Mr. Bill is. Mr. Bill's father was a stuntman who got paid for his misery, and he too was on the receiving end of Sluggo's abuse

to:

*KilledOffForReal: Possibly but in the sketch "2013 - A Bill Odyssey", the sketch ends with Mr. Bill and Spot taken out by a comet and then they show a tombstone for Mr. Bill. However Mr. Bill is a famous example of the BackFromTheDead trope and has made appearances since, it likely isn't supposed to be a canonical end for him-granted 2013 was (at the time) supposed to take place in the future so it might be the case.

**Mr. Bill's son seems to have inherited his father's bad luck from the few appearances he has made seem to indicate.

Added DiffLines:

*NiceGuy: Mr. Bill himself is very kind hearted and friendly to everyone. Unfortunately that doesn't protect him from all the horrible things that happen to him from Mr. Hands and Sluggo or the world in general.

*OffWithHisHead: Mr. Bill sometimes has a tendency to literally lose his head due to his misfortunes.

*ThereAreNoTherapists: Averted in the sketch Mr. Bill Gets Help. Unfortunately for Mr. Bill, the therapist he goes to is just Mr. Hands imitating one.

* TimeMarchesOn: Mr. Hands aside, all of the core Mr. Bill characters are made of just the original four colours of Play-Doh (red, yellow, blue, and white.) Even after Play-Doh introduced every colour of the rainbow into their product range, the characters' basic looks have never been updated. Averted with Miss Sally, who wears a green dress.

I fixed the misspellings & bad punctuations as I scrolled down the whole page.

* BornUnlucky: Even as a newborn baby there was a sure sign that Mr. Bill's life would be miserable when his birth resulted in his father's death. This is a world where death is no consequence to clay people, yet baby Billy ''somehow'' managed [[KilledOffForReal to make death stick]] after the stork dropped him on a picnic table and it's edge flew up and decapitated his father

** Not even Mr. Bill himself was safe as an infant. The slap of life sent him flying into a clothes line, got staples shot through him during a diaper change, was crushed under an iron, fed needles, and got his face brushed clean off.

* PhysicalFitnessPunishment: "Mr. Bill Shapes Up" gives us this when Mr. Hands and Sluggo [=LaLanne=] (get it?) put Mr. Bill through a strenuous workout regimen after he and Spot eat too many snacks. This ''did'' make Mr. Bill skinny, though the path to get there wasn't at all how he'd have liked it to have went.
* ThePollyanna: Mr. Bill's [=MasterCard=] commercial was a good example, as he always seemed to find a silver lining in all of Mr. Hands' torment. Overfilled hot coffee scalding him? He always wanted brown shoes. A treadmill going too fast hurls him into the air at a busy gym? He lands on an open exercise bike. Knocked out of his office window by an opened briefcase? The on-schedule city bus windshield is where he lands. The commercial ends before we find out if he was optimistic over being flung off the bus via it's windshield wipers.

* TheyKilledKennyAgain: Mr. Bill always comes back after being destroyed, including being eaten by a dolphin, being run through a wood chipper, and being disintergrated in a toxic river.

* StockShticks: Mr. Bill's stand-up routine in ''Mr. Bill Does Vegas'' typically includes a nervous variation of the "I just flew in from ______, and boy, are my arms tired!" joke, to the amusement of no one. Laughter only arises when he is greviously injured, as usual.

* YetAnotherChristmasCarol: In 1996's "Ho Ho Nooooooo!!! It's Mr. Bill's Christmas Special!", a short CG-animated cartoon parody of ''A Christmas Carol'' is included, starring "Ebenezer Bill", a kind businessman who donates to charity. However, the ghosts (all played by Mr. Hands) will have none of that.
