* BlownAcrossTheRoom: Tom Marwood must have the most powerful shotgun in England.

* SmugSnake: Lucian Burgess. It makes you actually cheer when Luther sets him up.
** Another standout example would be serial killer Cameron Pell. [[spoiler: He receives one of the most satisfying takedowns on the show, with Luther thwarting him by proving that he's really just a DirtyCoward, and stopping him from "escaping into history" like he intended. Quite an entertaining HumiliationConga.]]

* SpoilerOpening: Creator/RuthWilson returns to the opening credits for the final episode of series 3, before Alice has reappeared onscreen.
* StalkerWithACrush: Alice Morgan. She only wants to help Luther ... [[spoiler:by having his wife's lover beaten by street thugs and killing a man who could cause problems for Luther]].
