# YMMV.TheRaccoons: The song "Shining" from The Raccoons and the Lost Star contains the lyric "Somewhere out there..." Ralph's brother and sister-in-law are called George and Nicole. This was a while before Broken Sword was developed. In The Artful Dodger!, Ralph is seen putting on a ridiculous French accent whenever he tries his hand at cooking. Then in Moving In!, it's revealed that Ralph's sister-in-law Nicole speaks with a proper French accent. A lot of fans notice that Sophia Tutu bears an almost creepy resemblance to Katy Perry.
# YMMV.YokaiWatch: Turns out both Nate's Japanese and American voice actors were in toku! The same kind even! Brokenbrella complained the reason no one wanted him was because he flips the opposite way than normal umbrellas do. Now there's the Better Brella.
# YMMV.TheGarfieldShow: One episode had Garfield encounter a version of himself that can turn into an Eldritch Abomination, long before the Creepy Garfield/Gorefield meme started to take off. While he's floating off into space at the end of "Cuter Than Cute", King Parma declares that there'll be a sequel episode where he has his revenge. While the Space Lasagna did make one more appearance after this, it was in an Alternate Universe in "World Without Me"; as such, this ended up being the last time we saw them in the main timeline.
# YMMV.{{Nichijou}}: Three of the voice actors doing major roles in Fate/Zero turn up within the same scene together during the airship sequence of Episode 21 as a bunch of red shirts, namely Kirei, Rider and Tokiomi. The first two are killed by the Imagine Spot Mio within a minute of each other. The medium who is asked to contact "soap" and after getting a response, Tsuyoshi asks if that could really be someone's name.
# YMMV.LegoCityUndercover: "Blue" the fill-in for Red from Shawshank Redemption was asked if he was "Free, man" to which "Blue" denies... Morgan Freeman as a LEGO Minifigure, eh? For some bonus points: Blue's actor would later go on to Darrin said character in The LEGO Movie Videogame. While undercover at the Fire Station, Chase uses the alias Pete Peterson when asked about his name. 7 years later, LEGO would introduce a character in Hidden Side with the same name. The Super Mario Bros. references in the Wii U and Nintendo Switch versions of the game have become this thanks to LEGO announcing official Super Mario Bros. products in 2020. Considering that Chase and Chief Dunby's voice actors, Joseph May and Kerry Shale respectively, also played Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt, this game can give a rather amusing insight into what it'd be like if the Fat Controller didn't have faith in his engine.

Because of this, we get to hear Starfire's voice talking in slang like Cyborg, and Raven's voice whining about what's going on as Beast Boy. There's also a quick HilariousInHindsight moment - Cyborg's voice using Raven's monotone kinda sounds similar to Aqualad's voice on Young Justice (2010).
# YMMV.ShadowOfTheVampire: Willem Dafoe plays the fictional version of Nosferatu actor, Max Schreck (the actor of Count Orlok). This won't be the last time he stars in a Nosferatu movie as he would later on get casted in Robert Eggers' remake of Nosferatu in 2023.
# Creator.MikeMyers: He was set to play The Who's late drummer Keith Moon in a biopic sometime in the late 2000s, but the project crumbled at the end of the decade. Mike Myers was planned to star in a Marvin the Martian live-action/CGI hybrid film playing the titular character back in 2008 with a 2011 release date but it was scrapped. Test footage for the film was leaked in late 2012. Myers was planned to play Pepé Le Pew in a similar style film starring the titular character himself with Max Landis serving as writer. The film was scrapped partly due to Landis being accused by multiple women of sexual assault in 2017, which is ironic and a mood point seeing the character's controversial nature in later years which led to Warner Bros. abandoning the character in 2021.

Years later, one of the things the film is most famous for is how positive and respectful it is in its portrayal of an Arab (main) character. Antonio Banderas, a white actor, if one who might believably have some Arab genetics, plays here a full-blooded Arab. In 2020, however, he would be involved in a controversial and/or amusing incident in which he was called a "person of color" when he was announced as an Oscar nominee.

Then, on Glee season four, the episode about the glee club's "guilty pleasure" songs features the girls of New Directions performing "Wannabe" as Finn supervised as Mr Schuester's teaching assistant. Episode 21 of Pretty Little Liars Spoof has a joke where Aria believes Alison has an evil twin and Spencer immediately dismisses the idea as one of Aria's ditzy moments. Soon after the episode uploaded, the twist of Pretty Little Liars was Spencer had a secret twin who is the final "A" of the show.

# Funny.VinesauceRev: Rev turning Elmo into a running gag with the stream, but it only truly became memetic in Rev's community when Rev at one point, not knowing the weight of these words in Homestuck, calls Elmo "a demon", and proclaims that "you can't run from him, he is already here". Cue him, streams later, reaching the page where "The Demon's" relevance to the plot is revealed and the phrase is first used, and Rev summararily loses his goddamn mind.
# YMMV.{{Crashbox}}: Captain Bob is voiced by Greg Eagles, and one of the other segments involved a talking skeleton (though Eagles didn't voice him). Right around the time of the show's premiere, Eagles used the Captain Bob voice for another talking skeleton. Compounding this, it aired on HBO's sister channel Cartoon Network, and both shows are on HBO Max. Speaking of Cartoon Network, a second cardboard cut-out anchorperson was introduced on MAD, another series with various art-shifting segments.

# YMMV.AccordingToJim: In the season 3 finale, Cheryl is taking a pregnancy test at the beginning, and she and Jim are discussing what it'll be like if the test is positive, (though Jim is less optimistic about another kid than he lets on) Jim says "I hope it's twins!" which is pretty hilarious since Cheryl eventually DOES give birth to twins later on in the series.

Later while Stating her case for Dontae's murder Adrianna thought that the medallion he was wearing exploded. She ended up being killed in an exploding golf cart, herself. Ronnie's infamous trained monkey theory became even more funny the following week, when it turned out that a monkey played a role in his own death. When he was in the library, he was being spied on via a camera drilled into the "See No Evil" monkey statue. The killer stated in episode 3 that she should kill Lindsey for her Annoying Laugh. In the final episode, Lindsey gets shot in the throat.

Nowadays, the 80's are known for Rated M for Manly action films with stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Too bad Joe Pesci wasn't in the film, since the Big Bad's name just happens to be Peter McAllister... Michael Hunsaker mentions that the Shadow Company worked with the Air America project in The Vietnam War. In 1990, Mel Gibson starred in a movie based on the said project. Mitchell Ryan would later go on to play another rogue army general who deals in drugs. Gibson stars in an action movie set at Christmas. In Fatman, he plays Santa Claus himself.
# YMMV.PrimalRage: Let's see...a heroic ape leading a band of other beasts (including an Anti-Hero Velociraptor) against a wicked Tyrannosaurus? Fast-forward about two years after this game came out and well... Made even more hilarious since Sauron's purple colors makes him resemble Beast Mode Megatron. Let's also remember that the whole plot is kickstarted by an insane goddess being sealed in the moon.
# YMMV.ACharlieBrownChristmas: In one part, Charlie Brown makes Lucy fly backwards through the air with his loudly proclaiming "THAT'S IT!" 46 years later, we got a computer game that allows you to do the same. Shermy's dance is ahead of its time, as people note he's doing "The Running Man". Lucy dismissing Ludwig van Beethoven because he "never got his picture on a bubblegum card". Baseball card giant Topps' quirky Allen & Ginter line of cards, which mixes retro-style player cards with cards featuring various historical figures, did indeed produce a Beethoven trading card in 2009. When asked by Lucy what he'll do with his blanket when he grows up, Linus says he'll consider making it into a sport coat. In the very next Peanuts animated special, Charlie Brown's All Stars!, Charlie Brown's baseball team take Linus' blanket and stitch it into Charlie Brown's manager uniform.

# Characters.MassEffectRaceTropesCitadelAssociate: DudeWheresMyRespect: They view themselves as The Chew Toy of the galaxy, and with fairly good reason. Despite being one of the first races to inhabit the Citadel thousands of years ago, they're extremely annoyed humans were given a Council seat in only three decades. With their physical weakness off-planet, being forced to wear pressure suits off their homeworld, and their Vader Breath Verbal Tic thanks to their rebreathers, they get treated like crap as well. This, despite being the main merchant class of the galaxy. In fact, when visiting the Council for the first time, a turian and salarian will be discussing the volus clinging to the coattails of the humans if they get a Council seat, and the salarian states the hanar and the elcor, in that order will be joining the Council before the volus do. Talk about HilariousInHindsight.
# YMMV.MafiaII: An early mission where you have to stack crates in the back of a truck for a lousy 10 bucks. The mission ends with you saying screw it and informing your boss that you come for a better job. The kicker? Now you're sent out the office to collect cash from all of the employees in the warehouse, collecting 10 dollars from each. In other words: if you had completed the job you got offered first, you would've spent a lot of time earning only 10 bucks, only to lose it immediately.That becomes a Cerebus Callback later on, when it's revealed that Derek killed Vito's father, because he took exception to Derek's Bad Boss ways.
# YMMV.ResidentEvilMusicals: The author had uploaded a video in 2007 and used to joke about how Alfred's grandfather was named Grandpa Google and how he would eventually destroy Platform/YouTube. A few years later, turns out she was right. An in-universe example in Teh Stream game, the author jokes about how one would play the original Resident Evil and imagine that, someday, they'd make a sequel about an alien invasion in Africa. Ada Wong: The Worst Spy Ever pokes fun at the fact Ada uses her real name for every mission, and this ultimately blows her cover. A few years later, Ada works as a spy again in Resident Evil: Damnation, guess what happens when she loudly announces her name is Ada Wong.

# YMMV.ScoobyDooNightOf100Frights: The overall plot may have inspired Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed thanks to its sheer similarities, namely the villain trying to defeat Mystery, Inc. by bringing the costumes of past villains to life. The twist of the male villain Mastermind actually being a False Friend of Daphne's is very similar to the twist in Daphne & Velma where the main villain Tobias Bloom is really a hologram controlled by Carol.
# YMMV.RedVsBlueTheShisnoTrilogy: Episode 11 has an angry Atlus venting off by firing energy beams at a moon, and the last one shatters part of it, just like on RWBY. Come Volume 6 of that show, and Remnant's cracked moon apparently was caused by a god throwing a fit. Epsilon-Church having done a God Guise while in the form of a monitor during Revelation becomes even more hilarious when it's revealed that the Cosmic Powers are Monitors themselves. Both Halo Fandom Wikia and Halopedia's articles/pages for the 7 wood (a Golf Club reskin for the Gravity Hammer) not only has a picture of a blue spartan in the Halo 3 engine holding and using it, but also wears the same Mark IV helmet that Caboose wears. Which is a hilarious coincidence considering Caboose's infatuation with Genkins' Golf Club in Seasons 16 & 17.
# YMMV.{{Demonbane}}: Hilarious in Hindsight Jin Haganeya, who wrote the Visual Novel, admitted on Twitter that his first use of the name "Demonbane" was naming his Grungust while playing Super Robot Wars 4 when he was younger. Demonbane made its first Crossover appearance in Super Robot Wars UX. "Man, I can't even begin to imagine what expression I'd have had if I'd heard about this when I was a kid." # YMMV.Cinderella2015: Lady Tremaine's fate is being banished at the very end. The next big blockbuster Cate Blanchett stars in Thor: Ragnarok, where her character Hela comes back from being banished for a few hundred years and tries to seize the throne. For added hilarity, "Ragnarok" is the second sequel to a film directed by Kenneth Branagh just like this one. The film at the time got some criticism (see below) for being too similar to its predecessor. Beauty and the Beast (2017), Aladdin (2019) and The Lion King (2019) were even more similar to their animated counterparts to the degree that Cinderella now looks a lot looser by comparison.

Ada Wong: The Worst Spy Ever pokes fun at the fact Ada uses her real name for every mission, and this ultimately blows her cover. A few years later, Ada works as a spy again in Resident Evil: Damnation, guess what happens when she loudly announces her name is Ada Wong.
