One song on the album, "Holiday", despite already being an Author Tract manages to still have an Author Filibuster where the song stops for the singer to Strawman Political Arnold Schwarzenegger and George Bush directly through spoken word, complete with pulling a Godwin. Only a couple of tracks on the album ("Holiday" and "American Idiot" especially) are explicitly political, though, with the main focus of the album being a narrative about disaffected youths. # YMMV.MortalKombatDeception: Hotaru is frequently demonized to a degree greater than the way he is presented in canon with some detractors going to the extreme of claiming he is A Nazi by Any Other Name. While it is true that he is a Legalist and possibly can also be interpreted as an Authoritarianist (though one with Utilitarian motivations), but there is no concrete evidence that he holds views that resemble those of fascism (unless one is going by the looser definition of the term). Even if Hotaru holds such a philosophy, to claim that the makers of Mortal Kombat are condoning this detestable ideology is as absurd as claiming that Marvel Comics condones the likes of the Red Skull by his mere existence in their fictional universe.
# Webcomic.{{Sinfest}}: On another level, the horrors of the "Anti-Nazi Goggles" would probably hit a bit harder if not for the fact that the strip in its modern form directly and openly compares social media companies to Nazis (to the point that even their headquarters are designed to look like scenes straight out of Nazi Germany) because they ban right-wing pundits who break their site rules, and explicitly endorsed running over rioters with a vehicle, something that in the context of American politics is itself widely considered to be at best an act of vigilantism and at worst an act of terrorism.

He's especially annoyed when Luanne's spoiled roommate calls him one.

However, the latter understood Kirk's old prejudice perfectly and didn't hold it against him, and the former probably goaded Kirk to say that.

Sure he seems mild-mannered, and he appears to be trying his best to cure the Arkham patients, but his lack of success in doing so, his demonstrable lack of professionalism (like his brutal "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Dr. Death) and some of the extreme methods he takes (such as using Electric Torture on The Riddler) make one wonder just how pure his intentions are.Scarecrow and Black Mask both suggest that Dr. Arkham has a hidden darker side, Black Mask even comparing him to Josef Mengele. When Arkham starts threatening to turn the violent inmates loose on Black Mask by telling them he knows Batman’s secret identity, Black Mask takes it as confirmation of his point. The season finale has the Scarecrow psychology torturing Jeremiah Arkham into insanity, though Arkham’s family history and personal behavior as described by Scarecrow suggest Arkham may have always been at least slightly mad.

Kaffee fires back that the difference with the Marines is that they were just carrying out a routine order they didn't think would result in any physical harm. Poland had the largest Jewish population in the world until, well, those Nazis again. There was a massive post-war emigration and a lot of the Polish Jews ended up in America (and Israel — during the first 20-30 years of its existence, Knesset debate would sometimes be held in Polish as angry MKs of Polish origin lapsed into their native tongue). Perhaps because of that, most of the Polish people who float around in the American cultural consciousness are of Jewish descent and identify mostly with Jewish culture (Isaac Bashevis Singer, Jerzy Kosinski, etc.) so there tends to be some conflation between Jewish and Polish stereotypes in the American media.
