* The Typhon are an alien race dedicated to spreading itself across the universe, simply out of a necessity to survive. One day found by the company [=TranStar=], their CEO, Alex Yu, sought to use them in experiments to create "Neuromods" to uplift humanity to the ability to face threats like them, resulting in plenty of unethical experimentation. Unfortunately, one Telepath was all it took for the Typhon to escape and start laying waste to Talos I, building up "Coral" so they can summon their Alpha, The Apex Typhon, and target Earth next. In the middle of all of this is Morgan Yu, Alex's brother who was placed in a simulation and had broken out just when the infestation was getting really bad. Not much is known about exactly what Morgan did during it: some say he fled the station, others say he attempted to blow it up just to destroy the Typhon, others say he tried other ways to destroy them, and some more cynical gods say he just killed everyone and left. Whatever happened, The Typhon [[spoiler:unfortunately managed to make it to Earth and infest it. Alex, who had survived the initial incident, then pulled the risky move of finding a Typhon, implant Morgan's memories into it, stick it in another simulation, and attempt to teach it empathy so that Humanity and The Typhon can co-exist peacefully. Again, whether this was successful or not isn't known.]]
* Their arrival to The Pantheon's Space was just as messy as Talos I, consisting on an innocuous space station whose job was to study the cosmos of the realm, when a Mimic ended up discovering the station and sneaked aboard. To keep a long story short, it ended with pretty much everyone dead and the station infested with The Typhon, adopting it as a "base" of sorts. It didn't take long for The Pantheon to get news of this tragedy, and immediately it declared that an investigation be pulled on this mysterious new menace. They eventually figured out that they came from another reality, fed off of living consciousness and are currently using the station as a nest to summon the Apex. The fact that they already decimated Earth in their original timeline in particular spooked the Pantheon into making sure that The Typhon don't set foot on The Pantheon. Now, why someone thought it was a good idea to give them a proper title for The Pantheon, well it's as mysterious as the events on Talos I.

* Thanks to his disguise, most of the Pantheon realm just know him as a curiously clumsy but otherwise normal father just trying to live life in a world as hectic as The Pantheon. What's also known is that, in spite of said clumsiness, he's a pretty damn normal father
good dad to his kids, willingly going out of his comfort zone (AKA pretty much everything) to make them happy. While it has the bonus effect of warding off suspicion, really he just wants what's best for his children. Thanks to this, one of the first people he befriended was Goofy, an even more bumbling father that's nonetheless dedicated to being the best dad he can to his son, Max, even if he does end up embarrassing himself alot. The two were very quick to bond over the difficulties of fatherhood and often share stories about their shenanigans trying to raise a family. He and George Jetson also hit it off for similar reasons, though George's problems were more from not thinking through plans and a lousy job than clumsiness. Octodad's a bit more wary on Homer Simpson due to his more reckless actions, but ultimately see's him as a well-meaning guy that's trying to survive a hectic family, so he overall doesn't mind his company. None of them know about Octodad's secret by the way, though Homer swears there's something strange about Octodad but can't put his finger on it...

* As for how Octodad managed to pull off his disguise for as long as he has, that's an excellent question. His disguise, as pictured above, consists of nothing more than putting on a suit, positioning one of his tentacles as a mustache and standing up, and this combined with his clumsiness in actually standing up and doin the simplest task should be a dead giveaway. And yet, it works, as nearly everyone just sees him as a clumsy yet otherwise normal human, even fooling his own family for years before he was forced to reveal his secret. The only people that were able to see through his secret were the chef, who was dismissed as crazy, and his own daughter Stacy, who never pointed it out because she though it was common knowledge. This inexplicably continues into the Pantheon, at least to an extent: most normal deities, even smarter ones, seem to be fooled by his disguise. There are some that are able to see through it however, such as its more eccentric deities and some particularly powerful ones, but they're either dismissed as crazy or they don't really care enough to expose his secret, to his relief.

* His ascension itself came in the form of a disguise, as an innocuous voucher for a free vacation. Nobody in Octodad's family remember anyone entering a contest, but hey, free vacation, so they followed its directions to their destination. A few hours later, they found themselves in a realm filled with deities and supernatural realms, and while they were obviously taken aback by their vacation home, they were able to adapt and set themselves up a house. Most deities didn't bat an eye at Octodad's ascension other than thinking why a normal human would get PaperThinDisguise, a title that immediately made Octodad panic and claim it was because his halloween costumes were terrible, which most people bought. He eventually made a visit to the main house and discovered that, yes, they knew of his secret and invited him for precisely that reason. However, they were willing to keep it a secret and explain away the title, inviting Octodad to stay at The Pantheon. Ultimately, Octodad agreed and prepared for his new life as a "normal" human in a non-normal realm.

Despite the stress of it all and his almost comically clumsy personality, Octodad proves to be a good dad to his kids and just wants them to be happy, as all normal humans should...
** ...Ok, let's just cut the crap already: The human some call Octodad is actually an Octopus who, fascinated by humanity, decided to disguise himself as one to live a human life. The problems immediately arose when it became apparent that humans generally need bone structure to properly do anything, resulting in stuff like "getting milk off the counter" becoming a herculean task that destroys the surrounding environment. Doesn't help that the aforementioned Sushi Chef can see through his disguise and is hellbent on killing him, thinking he's a spy working for some fish army. Despite all that, and his disguise just consisting of him being in a suit, he's managed to fool basically everyone he meets, to the point that he managed to get married and have two kids. Him being a loving father still stands as well: when the sushi chef kidnapped his family, Octodad risked exposing his secret to save them, ending in him making peace with the Chef and his family finding out his secret. They ultimately still accepted him afterwards, and Octodad continued his life as a "normal" human, albeit not without some questions (like how his kids were born).

* Mario's Odyssey, a trip taken during a particularly ambitious scheme of Bowser's to finally marry Princess Peach, took him to many lands that haven't been touched by the plumber before, from prehistoric lands and thriving metropolises, to food-filled volcanoes and underwater civilizations. Mario wasn't alone, however: accompanying him was Cappy, a resident of Bonneton, which is a land inhabited by spirits who looked and can shapeshift into hats. Since his sister was also kidnapped by Bowser to serve as Peach's Tiara for their "wedding", he joined Mario to rescue her, replacing his destroyed hat and giving him the ability to "Capture" others and use their abilities. This powerful was crucial for Mario's adventure, with the two possessing various creatures and critters to beat puzzles and other enemies, even managing to capture Bowser himself to escape his crumbling lair and rescue Peach. After tackling a few other challenges, like locating the rest of the Moons and conquering The Dark Side of the Moon, the two parted ways amicably, both their quests finally completed.
* Cappy came up to The Pantheon very shortly after the Odyssey, as a request from Mario himself for him to take LivingHat due to his appearance and abilities. After reuniting, the two celebrated by once again going off to save the princess, who was once again kidnapped by Bowser, also bringing his attention to the fact that the hat has returned to The Pantheon. Cappy has since had more adventures with Mario in The Pantheon, mostly whenever he charted off to unfamiliar lands and needed someone to help adapt, as Cappy proved to be immensely useful for that. He also made sure to read up on how The Pantheon worked and its notable locations, just like back in his home realm. Cappy eventually noticed that his database was slightly outdated and sent out a suggestion to update it, as he's had more adventures over the years since he first arrived, a request that needless to say was granted.
* If anyone's wondering how Cappy's Capture abilities exactly work, here's a quick rundown: all he needs to do in order to Capture someone is be placed on a target's head to posses them, often in the form of someone throwing him at said target. How well he can posses them depends on their height; if they're around Mario size or shorter he can stay on indefinitely, but if they're an especially big or powerful target they'll eventually tire him out and be uncaptured after a short amount of time. By Pantheon standards, pretty much anyone small enough can be captured by Cappy. While this unsettles a fair amount of deities through Implications alone, Cappy is wholly benevolent and has only used his abilities on either non-sentient creatures and objects, or deities that really have it coming, and on the rare occasion he's forced to posses sentient people he keeps it short.
* Cappy's powers came with both good news and bad news; the good news is that Cappy is far from the only one who can posses others, but the bad news is that most others are often evil folk who use it for their own selfish purposes. Take The Mage of the Beginning for instance, a nihilistic sorceress that wanted to end all human suffering... by destroying the world before the negatie emotions do. She possesses anyone that manages to kill her, breaking their wills in the process. Meanwhile, Dante is a vain, manipulative alchemist that steals the bodies of others to keep her self young, having done this thousands of times before being stopped. There are plenty of others with his abilities, but these guys are the ones that Cappy's most against due to them actively harming their hosts, something that Cappy tries to avoid as much as he can. He eventually did find someone with possessive abilities that was also a good guy in the form of Abe, a timid Mudokon that had the ability to mind control others and used it exclusively to fight and ruin the Glukkons operations. Both were glad to find someone with their powerset that wasn't a narcissistic megalomaniac and quickly befriended each other.
* Cappy also wasn't the only living piece of headwear in the Pantheon either, and this time he was able to make friends with some of them. One time was when he accompanied Mario and Crash Bandicoot on a quest to beat Dr. Neo Cortex, where Cappy discovered that Crash's won headpiece companion, Aku Aku, could "Jack" various monsters and have Crash control them to beat various challenges, just like Cappy's abilities. After they stopped the scientist, Aku Aku admitted that he doesn't use it much do to it being fairly situational, and was impressed with how creative Cappy's own abilities were. Of course, the whole conflict also had Cappy encountering Aku Aku's evil brother Uka Uka, who had the same abilities as him but chose to do evil with them, resulting in a brief monster fight with him which Cappy ended up winning. On the subject of people with sentient headwear, he ended up under the radar of Dr. Fate, a man wearing a helmet housing the strict but benevolent being Nabu. Both of them were interested in his capturing abilities and requested that Cappy shows them some examples, something that the spirit was happy to demonstrate every now and again. That said, he doesn't trust the similarly possessive Terror Mask because of its highly manipulative and crass personality, but while the Mask finds his abilities hilarious he otherwise doesn't care much about how the hat feels.
* As mentioned before, Cappy comes from Bonneton, better known as the Cap Kingdom, a land filled with other hat-shaped spirits that can also shape-shift into other hats and travel around in airships. Despite the land's gloomy atmosphere it's a perfectly peaceful land with friendly locals. On the subject of his ghost-like appearance there's been some debate if he's a proper ghost or he just looks like one, but generally he tends to be lumped in with other spirits from Mario's world, and he doesn't mind too much as long as they're not too spooky. It did allow him to befriend other, more traditional ghosts, such as when he encountered the friendly spirit Casper, who was thrilled about meeting someone that didn't find him scary for once, which confused Cappy but he was otherwise happy to give the little guy some much needed company. He also befriended crime-fighting half-ghost Danny Phantom, first helping him thwart a gang of thieving ghosts that Cappy happened to stumble upon, and since then has occasionally helped Danny in stopping other ghosts using his capturing skills.
* Of course, while Cappy's abilities are certainly desirable, some deities are more interested in the fact that he's a living hat that can shape-shift into other hats, and by some we mean the Mann Co. Mercenaries. Notorious for their obsession with cosmetics, especially hats of any kind, the thought of a hat that can become any hat was simply an irresistible opportunity, and so the Mercs have occasionally chased after Cappy to get ahold of his abilities so they can have a hat that can become anything. Cappy naturally didn't want to be kidnapped by a bunch of psychopathic mercenaries and so has to avoid or fight them off, some being more tricky to ward off than others. It was one of these incidents where he was briefly claimed by another hat enthusiast, Hat Kid, who quickly discovered his abilities and used them to fetch some Time Pieces that were missing. After a bit of discussion between the two, Cappy was happy to help her find her stuff as long as she didn't cause too much trouble, which she agreed to. Cappy was glad that she decided to give him back to Mario after she was done, albeit reluctantly as she was growing attached to him.
* At one point, Cappy was just minding his own business when he stumbled upon some sinister looking deities ganging up on him, seemingly radiating a strange, dark energy. Before Cappy could ask what's happening they charged at him, apparently ready to beat him up. He tried Capturing them so he can fight them off, but for some reason it wasn't working and the beings would just throw him off. Just when it seemed like Cappy was about to be ripped apart, in comes Kirby to fight off the dark figures and save Cappy, revealing that they were Dark Matter possessing random deities. Cappy was glad that Kirby came in to save him and Kirby offered to walk him home, during which they became fast friends afterwards. An interesting thing that Cappy discovered by accident is that his capturing abilities didn't work on Kirby either despite him not being possesed; apparently he was just naturally immune to any type of possession, which intrigued the spirit plenty.
* During when Bowser briefly broke The Odyssey, forcing Mario and Cappy to search for Power Moons in the Lost Kingdom, Cappy was abducted by a vulture, briefly derailing their quest in favor of Mario saving him. Since then he hasn't had a high opinion of thieving birds, an opinion only enforced by the Murkrow, and ascended gang of avian pokemon obsessed with stealing stuff. Cappy ended up on their radar once, and as soon as he was placed down one of the Murkrow swooped in and stole Cappy, forcing Mario to give chase and eventually rescue his friend from the thieves. This repeated a few more times, with Cappy growing more and more paranoid about encountering them again until they eventually lost interest and found something else to try and steal. Cappy has remained wary of them returning ever since then
* One incident that happened while Mario was on vacation was Cappy joining Link on an adventure, appropriately to stop the insane mask Majora from destroying the Pantheon. While Majora was a more intense threat than Cappy was used to, he was still dedicated to helping Link stop him and once again proved invaluable to stopping him. This time it wasn't just because of his powers, but also that Cappy was very good at identifying the land and serving as a guide to Link, pointing him to where he needs to go and giving him tips, basically acting like his usual companions who'd do a similar thing. The final battle with Majora was tense, but with Link's skills and Cappy's abilities the two were able to banish its powers once again, with the two leaving on very good terms. That night, he was visited by the spirit of the Master Sword, Fi, and was asked how he knew so much about the Pantheon's landscape. Cappy sheepishly responded with a simple answer: he just read whatever guide he could get his hands on and observed his surroundings. The spirit was impressed nonetheless and thanked Cappy for helping her master before leaving.
* Cappy is very protective of his little sister Tiara, and will go to any lengths to save her. Considering the crux of his worldwide trip was to save her from the clutches of Bowser, who was planning to use her as a crown for his and Peach's "wedding", it doesn't come as much surprise. As such, he's got a good opinion on those that would risk life and limb to protect their loved ones. Of these, he ended up befriending Princess Anna, who went on an entire quest to save both her sister and Arendelle from being frozen over by her powers and ended up succeeding in doing so, albeit with plenty of road bumps, and admired Cappy's dedication to go on an even longer trip for the sake of his sister. He also visited Elsa on a trip and ended up befriending her as well, feeling bad for the circumstances of her abandoning Arendelle and why she needed to be saved in the first place.

* Isabelle, one of Animal Crossing's most recognizable characters, is a Shih Tzu that had her humble beginnings as the secretary for the Mayor of her small town, having helped them get elected and then acting as their assistant. Absurdly dedicated to her job, she did everything from doing daily announcements to organizing their boss's ideas, rarely taking a break despite how busy the task could be even during holidays. Later on, she acted as the assistant to Tom Nook during his Getaway Deserted Island Package service, acting as Civic Consultation and helping anyone with their problems they might have with their island, from changing the theme tune of the island to the moods of various villagers. Despite the amount of work she does, she always faces them with a genuine appreciation for her job, always happy to just help people in general while never showing signs of stopping.
* Isabelle was aware of the Trope Pantheon ever since her boss, The Mayor, went up alongside a handful of other Villagers, leaving her to manage the Town without him as he finalized his ascension. The Mayor would visit every now and again to help her out, but otherwise it was just her having to take care of the Town while he was out, and it was a much busier task than even she was used to she still never complained and just hoped her boss appreciated her work. Thankfully, they did, as shortly afterwards they had the whole Town brought up alongside them so they didn't have to leave Isabelle doing all the work, which she very much appreciated. She eventually managed to land a title of her own regarding how she's always willingly doing work even during holidays. She showcases this nowadays by now juggling two separate jobs: one as the Mayor's secretary and another one running the aforementioned Civic Consultation for the Getaway Island Package, acting as an assistant to Tom Nook.
* To get this out of the way, Isabelle is very dedicated to her jobs and is rarely seen taking breaks, even during holidays. Any time anyone needs anything from her, she's always been there to help them out and set up projects or help them with anything they need. While Isabelle's perfectly happy with her lifestyle, she realizes that not everybody shares her enthusiasm for their job or has it as easy as she does; take Retsuko for instance, her work life is just as busy and even more hectic between her obnoxious co-workers and personal life problems, to the point of taking up Heavy Metal just to vent it all. Retsuko was surprised that not only was Isabelle able to stomach her job, but also sympathized with her work life and fully supported her Heavy Metal hobby, resulting in the two becoming fast friends. Another good example is Flo, the owner and sole employee of a successful restaurant that not only enjoyed her job, but also helped other struggling businesses out for seemingly no reason other than kindness. As such, she's lent a hand towards helping Isabelle during work days that were busy even by her standards, all while bonding over how dedicated they are to their jobs and helping others.
** On the opposite side was Squidward Tentacles, someone who has a stressful job and absolutely despised it, not helped by his already cranky personality and dubious boss and coworkers. Isabelle tried reaching out to him as well, but Squidward was baffled as to how she can be OK with working 24/7 and just thinks that she's weird, not helped by the fact that the one time she met Spongebob so she can investigate his job, they actually ended up getting along well over their dedication to their jobs. Still, she did agree that Mr. Krabs ethics were... questionable, to say the least. Another complicated relationship was with The Grandmas, an entire army of elderly employees specializing in creating cookies in various bizarre ways. While she admires their endless dedication to their job, and has both tried and enjoyed their cookies, even she can't help but feel that there's something off' about them, and if the rumors about the are true than she isn't wrong to be suspicious. Still, anytime she's met one she's still polite to them out of courtesy, and from info gathered the Grandma's seem to like her fine.
* Believe it or not, she's one of many deities to have been invited to the Smash Bros. Tournament, having been given an invitation a bit after The Villagers got invited. Fighting style-wise, she's nearly identical to her boss's style, which is to say she uses anything she happens to have in her pocket, though she mixes it up with moves such as using a fishing rod as a grapple and burying the Rocket Gyroids to get a drop on opponents. In general, she treats the whole thing like a fun game and doesn't care whether she wins or loses, just of everyone has fun during it. As such, she's good friends with most of the roster, though understandably she stays clear of the more malevolent or scary fighters. Of course, her first day at the tourney wasn't a great first impression, as it was right around when Galeem and Dharkon invaded and turned a massive amount of both fighters and non-fighters into spirits, herself being turned into a puppet for Galeem. Thankfully, she and everyone else were able to recover and foil the two, and while it was obviously a harrowing experience she's been able to recover and rejoin the tournaments, all while promising to help out against the two deities if they cause anymore trouble.
* As an anthropomorphic member of a carnivore species, it was only natural that she came under the radar of one Dawn Bellwether, a former secretary that has a serious hatred for any and all carnivores. How exactly the two had their chance encounter isn't known; all there is to say is that they bumped into each other while running errands, and it ended up becoming a massive argument over if carnivores and herbivores should be allowed to coexist or not, with Isabelle, who was obviously all for the idea, being uncharacteristically angry at the sheep for her prejudice, ending in the Shih Tzu leaving in a huff and Bellwether just dismissing her as another ignorant carnivore. Eventually figuring out about her history and realizing she could very well be a threat to her village, she had her banned from ever stepping foot in any village. As a plus, her info-digging landed her new friends in Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, two cops that foiled Bellwether's attempted scheme on Zootopia, a place that fascinated Isabelle as well. The two promised to keep an eye out for if Bellwether tries anything funny with the villages, and as a result they remain constant contacts with Isabelle whenever anything extra bad has happened in the villages.
* Generally, a canine secretary and a legendary demon-slaying space marine wouldn't be people's first choice for friendship, but suprisingly both Isabelle and the Doom Slayer get along great. May theories are as to why: some joke that Isabelle can rip apart demons as well as he can and finds him relatable, some theorize that The Slayer finds her a sort of replacement for his deceased pet bunny Daisy, and some bluntly state that both their games released on the same day and people found that really funny. Either way, on his rare spare time the Slayer has been seen visiting the villages and more specifically Isabelle, seemingly enjoying despite having the exact same gruff demeanor as he usually has. Isabelle herself has gone on record to say that, once you get to know him, he ain't a bad guy and has some mundane hobbies. Of course, contrary to popular belief the Slayer knows that bringing her to his job would be a horrible idea and she's terrified of what she's heard about the demons, but its nothing that stops their OddFriendship.
* In general, Isabelle has a good rep with her fellow canines for being a hard working and loyal dog, archetypes that are fondly associated with dogs. On the very rare occasion she's taking a break, she's been visiting the temple to hang out with her fellow dogs and relate stories about her job to them. Unfortunately, through their own tales she learned about there being plenty of people that would happily harm them as well, much to her horror. For example, Cruella De Vil is a notoriously vain woman who attempted to kidnap and kill 100 or so puppies just so she can get a nice fur coat, mutating into her wanting them dead just out of revenge. Meanwhile, Napoleon is a cruel pig who turned his farm into a dystopian nightmare, and one of the ways he accomplished this was by kidnapping puppies and grooming them into vicious attack dogs. While neither of them had any interest in Isabelle, she ended up hating the two and happily supported anyone that was willing to knock them down a peg or two, which is surprising considering her usual passive demeanor.
* Anyone that's known Isabelle can say that, while a bit clumsy at times, she's a very good assistant to her Mayor, always being there whenever they needed something done and even taking over for them during their absence despite that doubling the amount of work. Most benevolent politicians had heard of her competence at her job and see her as a good example of how to be a secretary, something she finds very flattering. Most notably, former mayor of Metro City, Mike Haggar, sought her out and wanted to hire her to help out Cody Travers, a vigilante turned criminal turned the new mayor of Metro City, who's still trying to get the hang of his new job. While she's still loyal to her original mayor, she still bargained to take it up as a part-time job, with her giving tips to Cody on how to run a city properly, and apparently it's fairly good advice despite Metro City's notorious crime. On the other hand, even she can't stand any politician that abuses their power for their own selfish gain, for example Senator Ethan Rouke Senior, who drove his city Sin City into a crime ridden hellhole, and president Frank Underwood, who gleefully had anyone who could oppose him eliminated. And while he was far less evil than either of them, even she was frustrated by Mayor Quimby's blatant corruption and incompetence, even wondering how he ever became and stayed Mayor of Springfield to begin with. In between these is the notoriously incompetent Mayor of Townsville, as while she's exasperated by his bumbling she can plainly see that he means well and has encouraged him to try and improve as a mayor.
* One fine evening, Isabelle was busy with work as usual when she suddenly got a visitor in the form of a Shiba Inu; this wasn't the strange part. What was strange was when the dog stated how glad he was that his "wife" was ascended and how Phoebe will be happy to see her. A very confused Isabelle had to explain that he was probably mistaken, and after a few minutes the dog realized that he was indeed mistaken and left embarrassed. Curious, Isabelle later learned that said Shiba Inu, Doge, was actually married to another Isabelle after divorcing his first wife Karen, even having a daughter together. Another encounter had the two apologizing and becoming proper friends, with Doge still awaiting the day his Isabelle ascends to the Pantheon. Isabelle, on her part, is planning to have her visit so that she can make her new friend happy, as well as being curious about what this Isabelle is like and who exactly Phoebe would be, though Doge claims she'd probably like them.

* (Wander)One fine evening, Isabelle was busy with work as usual when she suddenly got a visitor in the form of a Shiba Inu; this wasn't the strange part.

On the opposite side was Squidward Tentacles, someone who has a stressful job and absolutely despised it, not helped by his already cranky personality and dubious boss and coworkers.
* Generally, a canine secretary and a legendary demon-slaying space marine wouldn't be people's first choice for friendship, but suprisingly both Isabelle and the Doom Slayer get along great

* The story of how Mort the Chicken saved his homeland is an odd one, to say the least. A normally peaceful dimension inhabited entirely by sapient chickens was one day contacted by The Boolyon, a race of sentient cubes lead by Colonel Cubicles, who had mistaken their hay bales as kidnapped members of their own kind. In retaliation, Cubicles sent out his men to kidnap baby chicks so they can negotiate the release of their "brethren". The only soul brave enough (or stupid enough, it's hard to tell) to go in and rescue them was popular children's show host Mort the Chicken, who promptly invaded the Boolyon homeworld and started rescuing as many baby chicks as possible while fighing off the Boolyon at the same time. In the meantime, his fellow chickens could only speculate how Mort was brave enough to take on this quest, considering that chickens are naturally cowardly and weak. In the end, after beating the Boolyon's two best men and retrieving the remaining chicks, Cubicles realized his mistake and negotiated a peace treaty between the two races, with Mort now considered a hero and leaving Cubicles feeling very flustered about his rash decisions.
* The day Mort discovered The Pantheon started out as a normal day of him filming his show, consisting of him and his friends "getting down and gettin' funky", when between takes Mort noticed something unusual about his well, which was previously used by the Boolyon to kidnap the baby chicks: namely, there was once again a vortex within the well. Mort, either out of curiosity or blind foolishness, once again jumped into the well, where he entered a brand new realm filled with numerous gods and locations from all sorts of realities. It turns out the realm had heard of Mort's exploits and were impressed with his one-man war with the Boolyon, and so had reached out to Mort for a place in the realm. It took a bit of Mort blankly staring at the messengers, but eventually he accepted on the condition of him getting to take his show with him as well, which they went "sure, why not" and agreed to said terms. Mort now spends most of his days filming episodes of his show, occasionally getting caught up in various shenanigans around the Pantheon, usually involving him saving baby animals.
* Of course, there's the issue of why he has UnexpectedCharacter as his title, which itself is a funny story: turns out he was involved with the Pizza Tower, taking refuge in The Vigilante's Fun Farm. There, he met perpetually stressed pizza chef Peppino Spaghetti, and had helped carry him throughout the stage and take out enemies that the chef couldn't. He was even one of the handful of people Peppino saved from the crumbling of Pizza Tower. Apparently, Peppino's friend and herald Gustavo had talked Peppino into getting Mort up, arguing this would be nice compensation for helping them in their quest to beat Pizzaface, even if it involved Peppino being dragged around by the Chicken. After ascension the two remained in touch, with Mort thanking Peppino by regularly ordering from his Pizzaria (cheese with extra corn, if anyone's wondering). Of course, people are still wondering how or why he was in the Tower to begin with, and Mort being the silent type isn't gonna give an answer anytime soon.
* So behavior-wise, Mort really doesn't look or act any more intelligent than a normal chicken. Most deities assume there's some intelligence behind his blank stare, his home dimension is populated by sapient chickens and one doesn't just organize a TV show without some sentience after all, but moments like that are rare and otherwise he just acts like a oddly brave chicken. Still, intelligent or not singlehandedly stopping an alien invasion is bound to impress some people, and as a result his fellow Pantheon chickens have plenty of respect for him. Chanticleer, a rooster with a knack for rock and roll, was happy to see someone that was willing to risk his life to save his kind and has frequently guest starred in his show, adopting his King persona for Mort and the gang to dance to his songs. Loudmouth prankster Foghorn Leghorn appreciates how Mort actually allows him to go on his infamous tangents and admires his strength, having toyed with the idea of bringing him back to his home barn to help prank his rival, Barnyard Dawg. Ernie the Giant Chicken has tried to convince Mort to help him beat up Peter Griffin, but Mort hasn't shown much interest in the idea, though other than that he doesn't mind Mort at all. Notably, the evil Henpire has tried to contact Mort and convince him to join their ranks, but allegedly Mort barely reacted to the offer before just wondering away, baffling the Henpire.
** In general, most Barn-based deities get along with Mort just fine, mostly because, again, he more or less acts like a slightly smarter chicken and therefore it doesn't take a lot to please him. Take the Harvest Moon Farmer for instance, a fairly normal, well, farmer that one day came across Mort in his garden and thought he was just one of his normal chickens, giving him corn and generally treating him well. They were a bit embarrassed when they realized that the chicken was a well-known TV celebrity, but still Mort appreciated the care and occasionally visits for some extra corn. Barn cow and literal party animal Otis also thought that inviting Mort to a party would really spruce it up due to how successful his show, which is all about partying, and sure enough it was apparently one hell of a party, albeit ending in another close call involving their farmer nearly discovering their sentience. Siblings Cow and Chicken are also fans of his show and plan on giving him a visit for his autograph, mostly chicken as he thinks his fellow chicken's a badass for stopping the Boolyons.
* When Mort isn't filming his TV show, he's wondering around The Pantheon having all sorts of wacky adventures. While these shenanigans tend to vary, one thing that remains consistent is that most of them involve Mort rescuing various baby animals in distress, guiding them to a safe zone while he fights off anyone that threatens them. If Mort does this out of a need to do good or it's just a force of habit, nobody knows, but nobodies complaining as he's also very good at saving animals. A few of his adventures involve him helping Sonic the Hedgehog rescue baby animals from being batteries for robots created by Dr. Eggman, managing to be a surprisingly useful ally in the process. Hes also helped animal lover Fluttershy find lost baby animals and return them to their parents, though they had a bit of a rough start with Fluttershy mistaking him for a Cockatrice and giving him The Stare... which Mort entirely No Selled out of absentmindedness, much to her surprise. He's even helped Spyro rescue some baby dragons when The Sorceress tried once again stealing them to make a powerful spell, managing to keep up with the dragon as well. By the way, Spyro swears that even Mort flinched when he told him of the Sorceress's heinous schemes.
* So about that whole "Mort's a celebrity with a successful TV Show" thing, part of his bargain with joining The Pantheon was him bringing up his TV Show to the realm, which was approved out of a sense of both hospitality and curiosity of what that entailed. On the surface, it doesn't seem like much, most Mort and his friends dancing to various songs... and yeah, you'd be right, there's not much more to it, at least back in Morts world where it was seen as exciting. The producers at least realized that the Pantheon has higher standards for entertainment, and so The Pantheon's version mixes it up a bit by having frequent guest stars, mostly musicians so Mort can rock out to various songs. This whole idea was actually the idea of fellow TV show host Mettaton, who had Mort on his own show as an experiment to see if people would still watch his show if the guest star was a literal chicken, and surprisingly the ratings were much higher than he anticipated, passing on his advice that anything can be made better with guests. While rating are not as high as in Mort's world, his show still gets decent ratings thanks to the improvements, though there are some that dismiss his stuff as mindless dancing.
* It was a normal night for infamous predator Dag, and by "normal night" we mean a lead-up to a horrible animal massacre. He and his pack had located a new barn that was absolutely filled with chicken and baby chicks, and they were all too busy dancing to notice Dag preparing for an ambush... all expect for Mort, who was the owner of the farm to begin with. Having caught sight of some Coyotes sneaking around, Mort, in an uncharacteristically smart move for him, snuck up on the bloodthirsty predators and started attacking them instead. What followed was perhaps the second most embarrassing beatdown of Dag's life, as Mort proved to be stronger than any of his crew thought he was and effortlessly whopped the asses of what ultimately were normal Coyotes. The second Mort managed to pull out his trump card, a power-up that made him grow significantly bigger, it was over, and Dag was launched away from the barn by Mort. In general, most predators wisely stay away from Mort's barn, as while a ton of free chicken sounds delicious it ultimately isn't worth risking their lives fighting Mort.
* It was also a normal day for Mort, and we really do mean normal this time, as he was preparing to film another episode of his show, when suddenly he ran into a worried marsupial wondering around. This marsupial, Crash Bandicoot, scooped up Mort and brought him back to his temple, where he was preparing another go-karting tournament with his friends and enemies. As it turns out, Crash had mistaken Mort for another friend of his, King Chicken, with the ditzy bandicoot thinking that Mort was the same chicken, just without his crown. It also turns out that, while Mort's slightly smarter than the mostly normal King Chicken, he cannot drive to save his life and kept on crashing his kart, with the tournament being brought to a screeching halt via a comically large pile-up that Mort accidentally made. Eventually, the real King Chicken was found and Crash sheepishly apologized for his mistake. At the very least, Mort wasn't upset enough to press charges against the bandicoot, though its likely he doesn't even know what charges actually were.
* So the question remains; how intelligent is Mort the Chicken? He does come from a world ran by sentient, if ditzy, chickens and runs a TV Show, but like we said he only acts slightly smarter than an actual, regular chicken. Most evidence towards his sapience points towards his bravery, what with Mort pulling his stunt against the Boolyans without any fear, but his generally absentminded personality don't really convey that very well. Some gods decided to ask some residents of Mort's home world, who were similarly baffled by his bravery and immediately started speculating about it, and what they came up with made some sense: Mort's simply too foolish to actually comprehend how dangerous his deeds are, a behavior originating from when he was testing out rockets before he got his show. That said, the residents weren't exactly the best source of info, considering that they also briefly considered Mort a traitor only because he was brave, which is apparently considered taboo by the chickens, though to be fair they realized their mistake fairly quickly. Still, it was better than nothing and generally Mort being a FearlessFool seems to be the consensus right now.

* (How popular
When Mort isn't filming his TV Show is in show, he's wondering around The Pantheon having all sorts of wacky adventures. He's even helped Spyro rescue some baby dragons when The Sorceress tried once again stealing them to make a powerful spell, managing to keep up with the potential crossovers)
dragon as well. By the way, Spyro swears that even Mort flinched when he told him of the Sorceress's heinous schemes.
* (Him So about that whole "Mort's a celebrity with a successful TV Show" thing, part of his bargain with joining The Pantheon was him bringing up his TV Show to the realm, which was approved out of a sense of both hospitality and curiosity of what that entailed.
He and his pack had located a new barn that was
absolutely rocking filled with chicken and baby chicks, and they were all too busy dancing to notice Dag preparing for an ambush... all expect for Mort, who was the owner of the farm to begin with. Having caught sight of some Coyotes sneaking around, Mort, in an uncharacteristically smart move for him, snuck up on the bloodthirsty predators and started attacking them instead. What followed was perhaps the second most embarrassing beatdown of Dag's shit)
life, as Mort proved to be stronger than any of his crew thought he was and effortlessly whopped the asses of what ultimately were normal Coyotes. The second Mort managed to pull out his trump card, a power-up that made him grow significantly bigger, it was over, and Dag was launched away from the barn by Mort. * Of course, there's the issue of why he has UnexpectedCharacter as his title, which itself is a funny story: turns out he was one of many deities involved with the Pizza Tower, taking refuge in The Vigilante's Fun Farm.

* (Fellow chickens)So behavior-wise, Mort really doesn't look or act any more intelligent than a normal chicken.
