[[folder: shamona]]
Shamona is a worldbuilding project by Tropers/DanteDyavol. The goal is to create a unique world that takes inspiration from sci-fi and fantasy. It can be found at https://theworldofshamona.wordpress.com/

----
* ClownSpecies: Well, more like Clown Religion.
* HumansAreAverage: PlayedWith. "Human" in Shamona refers to any sentient species, from mechanical dwarves to nomadic clowns. "Men" are what we would refer to as humans, though they have their quirks like every other species. So, while "Humans" may be average, "Men" are not.
* HumanSubspecies: Men are one of the more widespread peoples in Shamona, due to their adaptability. This leads to some variation among the species:
** Clowns are an ethnoreligious group of Men, who travel the lands setting up carnivals that are used both as religious rites and a source of income.
*** Clowns are also occasionally born with traits that represent one of their three gods, creating mimoj, bestoj, and amikoj.
** The main difference between Hivers and Men is their reproductive habits. Only the female Hivers are sentient and humanoid, the males and queens are non-sentient, and basically just breed and die.
** The Janki, though they look like Men, are actually not related at all, because [[spoiler: they were teleported from our world, specifically the American Frontier.]]
* MonsterOrganTrafficking: 'Teratoculture', or the raising of monsters for food and resources, is a common practice. It ranges from using the unique ecosystem of dungeons to cultivate rare plants and fungi, to using formerly human warbeasts as sources of armor, to using bog hulks as mobile farmland.
* OurGoblinsAreDifferent: Goblings are a heterogeneous race, formerly making up the majority of the Fallen Lord's army. Now that the Fallen Lord is no more, Goblings have settled down and developed their own culture.
* OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame: Averted. Dwarves consist of a core containing their consciousness, that can insert itself into a variety of chassis, the most common one being a spherical body with stiff arms and legs.
* OurGodsAreDifferent: Gods are very similar to the occult idea of the 'egregore', which is, essentially, the will of a group of people given physical form. This means that, contrary to most depictions of gods, they serve their worshipers, rather than the other way around. Non-religious groups can also create deities spontaneously.
** One exception to this rule is the clowns, which have been unable to manifest any gods, because their creator gods died in the process of creating the universe.

[[folder: Those Who Walk Away]]

Those Who Walk Away is a 2022 {{Main/Horror}} Movie written and directed by Robert Rippburger, starring Creator/BoobooStewart. Shot in one continuous take, it follows Max, a young man who goes on a date with Avery, a woman he met on a dating app. What starts as a normal, if awkward, date, goes very wrong as the night goes on.

-----
!!Tropes:
*AbusiveParents: Among other things, Avery and Phillip's father [[spoiler: molested Phillip.]]
*AmbiguousSituation: What, or who, exactly, is Rotcreep? Is he [[spoiler: the ghost of Avery and Phillip's father? An AnthropomorphicPersonification of rape? Some kind of demon?]]
*AndThatLittleGirlWasMe: [[spoiler: Turns out, the haunted house that Avery took Max to was actually her and her brother's childhood home.]]
*AndThisIsFor: When Max [[spoiler:locks Avery and Phillip in the house before he burns it, he says "This is for Rudy".]]
*LiteraryAllusionTitle: to Literature/TheOnesWhoWalkAwayFromOmelas. The famous choice in that story is referenced frequently throughout the movie.
*MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily: Rotcreep has a massive, toothy grin.
*TheOner: shot in one long take, or at least, edited to look like it.
*ShoutOut: to Series/TwinPeaks: the living room in the haunted house looks a lot like the Black Lodge.
*SurrealHorror: Once Max is left in Rotcreep's house, things go off the rails quickly.

The Last Girl Scout is a Post-Apocalyptic book by Natalie Ironside. 196 years after the fall of the United States, the Ashland Confederated Republic is at an uneasy peace. Their war with their neighbor to the north, the Blackland New Republic, has temporarily gone cold, and Ashland is at an impasse. When political commissar Mags Blackadder is tasked with going out into the wasteland in hopes of turning the tides against Blackland,
