Hiver biochemistry and taste organs are wired such that human spices and fermented goods (such as cheese) are near-narcotic to them (on the other hand, they have no reaction whatsoever to ethanol), and hiver warriors apparently eat garlic as a form of manhood test because the taste sensation makes it actually dangerous to them. Zuul are able to eat everything (or anyone) without any bad side effects, though being genetically modified this may be justified.
# WMG.{{Metroid}}: the Space Pirates. In the Prime games, they operate like a professional army and/or terrorist organization, all the way down to having pay grades assigned and punishments ranging from things like demotions to reductions in pay and rations (like a real military). They also demonstrate strong individual traits, with some Pirates owning pets and voicing critical opinions of their superiors. However, in the Japanese-made games, they are a Hive Mind Weak-Willed BeePeople who need a dominant psychic controller to organize them. In the Prime games, the Pirate High Command didn't need Mother Brain or anyone else to make them a threat.
# Characters.OnePieceDandD: Bee Boy ate a Bee Zoan that allows him to zip around and sting people.
# IronicEcho.AnimeAndManga: The song "Do You Remember Love?". Used by the humans against the Zentradi in the defense of Earth during Macross: Do You Remember Love?, only to later be used against them by Ranka and the Vajra in Macross Frontier, with Grace O'Connor even commenting on the appropriateness of the song.

# VideoGame.StarFlight: Subverted. The Veloxi are not actually eusocial, but they act like it. They kill all female larvae except for the queen, so that the whole race consists of one queen and the rest males. The Velox on Arth, however, don't participate in this practice.
# ActionGirl.VideoGames: Morrigan Aensland the succubus Action Girl of Darkstalkers certainly counts. She was created by Capcom with the purpose of making a female fighter as iconic as the aforementioned Chun-Li and given Morrigan has become more iconic than the series she's oringated from (mainly thanks to appearing in pretty much every crossover game), suffice to say they succeeded. Morrigan is also technically one of the most powerful exampes listed here, being a S-Class Physical God-level Darkstalker at full power, though she does get The Worf Effect in crossovers courtsey of Iron Man and Chun-Li. Besides Morrigan, there's Cat Girl Felicia, Chinese Vampire Hisenko, Bee Girl Q-Bee and "loli icon" Lilith Morrigan's Soul Jar. There's also Baby Bonnie Hood, who's Word of God the most dangerous character, one of the intros has her dragging the aforementioned Lilith by the head defeated.

# StarfishAliens.VideoGames: While most of the aliens in Shadow the Hedgehog appear to be vertebrates, Doom's Eye is a floating purple starfish with one eye that Black Doom uses to communicate with Shadow. Basically. the Black Arms' spawn are also tiny slug babies, and Black Bull looks more like a one-eyed grub meets Clefairy from Pokémon. There are also massive hints that the aliens are BeePeople with a Hive Mind, especially when Black Doom tries and fails to control Shadow with his mind. Several of the Twilight Cage aliens from Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood also count. You've got the Voxai, a race of manta-like psychic beings, who form a Hive Mind if their leader is oppressive with his psychic suggestions of purpose; and the N'rrgal, a Hive Mind race of slime beings led by a queen, who manifests when enough drones merge together. The Zoah and the Kron are more humanlike, though the Zoah are all giants in what appears to be Powered Armor, and the Kron are made of rocks.

They are a One-Gender Race born in a symbiotic relationship with their Garden, and have a caste system, with the Knights acting as guardians, and Shamans as the spiritual leaders. They also undergo a Blossoming (i.e metamorphosis). There is no queen as such, but Yggdrasil can be thought as a cross between one and a deity.

# TabletopGame.{{Anchorome}}: Quite literally with the Abeil, which are humanoids with distinctly bee-like physical traits and a social structure that roughly mimics the eusocial hive of honeybees. They have a splinter culture called the Bee Tribe; nomadic Abeil who have mostly abandoned the eusocial structure. Bacar are humanoid ants, complete with a single reproducing queen, who were originally engineered as a slave race. However, when their purpose was fulfilled, they began mutated greater intelligence, and migrated north from Maztica in pursuit of freedom.
# WMG.StarTrek: There are a few problems with that theory. First, the Borg Queen is more than just a "leader" - she is the Borg, personified in a single body. Granted, the super-powerful BeePeople could have been the ones to introduce that little wrinkle; but if we take the Queen at her word, then it must have been before Picard was assimilated, since she claims to have been eyeing him as far back as then. Finally... what does this have to do with Flanderization? If anything, the Borg Queen is generally held to be a departure from the original Borg standard. (It would be hard... no, just about impossible to Flanderize the Borg as they were originally presented. There's not a lot to strip away...)
# Series.MortalKombatConquest: The Kreeyans are an all-female race who have a queen. That queen mates with a male of a different species, who will often die as a result. Offspring mature in massive hives until they come out as adults.
# Series.AlfredHitchcockPresents: In "Consider Her Ways", the human race develops into a hive society following a gendercide that kills off all the males.

# Fanfic.TwelfthEquestriadInterview: The Changelings, the descendants of the pre-Discordian Flutter Ponies, who have now been accepted as one of the five major Pony Kinds. They have greater individual autonomy than is common for this trope, but they do have a society based around biological castes and organized into Hives.
# VideoGame.StarFoxAssault: The Aparoids are a species with not just a collective mind, but a collective existence, all ruled over by a queen. The titular team of heroes take advantage of this to beat them by injecting a virus into the Aparoid Queen, which sends it out to every other Aparoid and destroys them.

# Animorphs.TropesAToH: The Helmacrons are an alien race whose society fits this trope, with a strong emphasis on social and racial pride, grovelling before the dead queen, submissive, slavish males, and an indifference toward the death of the individual. As for their anatomy, they resemble insects not only in their shape, but in their size — being about the size of fleas. Subverted when Marco and Cassie, attempting to teach their male keeper (who Marco dubs "Wuss" for obvious reasons) a thing or two about gender equality, inadvertently start a massive social uprising. The consequences of this are never explored outside the context that the characters consider it a bit of a joke, but it's more than likely that, now that both genders violently believe that they should be in charge, the whole species is going to go extinct.
# VideoGame.{{Descent}}: InsectoidAliens: The aliens who are heavily implied to be the originators of the virus, as seen in Descent 3: Mercenary. Why they attacked humanity or wrote the virus remains completely unknown. They also qualify as BeePeople: they are shaped much like bees, can fly, have a single larger Queen who commands them, and the base they built inside the Zeta Aquilae Planetoid appears to be modeled after a bee hive.

# Literature.BasLagCycle: The khepri and the anophelii.Khepri females are red-skinned women, human in appearance apart from having giant scarabs for heads. The rarely-seen males do exist, but are literally just large non-sapient scarab beetles that exist mainly to procreate. Anophelii are anthropomorphic mosquitoes who consist of brilliant, scholarly men who subsist on plant juices and monstrous women with uncontrollable bloodlust.

Oh, they are also life-sucking-sufficiently-advanced-aliens, so that makes them Our Vampires Are Different, too.
# Pantheon.GamingStyles: Flying drones resembling spherical robotic bees can be found wandering her temple to assist in taking care of the slimes or transferring plorts to Market Links to be sold. Dr. Light was one of the first to understand their workings when Beatrix shipped one to him to repair and upgrade its functions, and so was Dell Conagher since he showed enthusiasm for understanding the Drones, which led to Beatrix giving him one. However, the Engineer is secretly interested in giving them guns for the sake of using them in his normal work. Beatrix does like to have them around since she finds bees to be adorable. She's not happy about the fact that the bee deities in the Pantheon are a beauty-obsessed maniacal Insect Queen, a Nazi made of bees, and a queen of BeePeople that captures humans to use for breeding or food. Oh, and also Barry B. Benson's just there.
# Headscratchers.TheFaculty: Given the aliens were insect-like parasites lead by a queen, it's reasonable to assume the writer(s) were going for the BeePeople thing. With this in mind, it is likely that either: a.) she is operating them by "remote", and is only able to control them on a basic level due to range or something, or; b.) they are simply "drones"/"workers", and thus are not as socially capable as the queen herself.
