* Series/SesameStreet: While not as bad as other shows that went into SeasonalRot, depending on one's point of view and what year they grew up on Sesame Street, it is mainly based on the divisive changes that caused them to outgrow this show. The most common reactions are:
** 1980-1985: Some people complained about Elmo, and they call him the "little red menace" (which is what Oscar the Grouch calls Elmo as), especially when he started taking over the show since the 1990s (though Big Bird also has the same problem in the mid to late 1970s). Others may even go as far back as when Elmo debuted as a minor character (even way before he became what he is now and before Kevin Clash and Ryan Dillon started voicing him), or even misblame him for Kermit's absence in the show (which is irrelevant) and/or thinking that he replaced Grover (though Grover started to be featured more often since 2012 along with Cookie Monster).

** 1992/1998/2002/2007/2009/2016/2022: When the show's opening and closing themes were changed. The original version of the theme was used for 23 years from 1969 to 1992. In 1992, it became a more upbeat, calypso, island like tune. In 1998, the theme song was changed to look very similar to the original. In 2002, the opening becomes more like a rock style with a block intro. From 2007-2008, a hip hop style intro was introduced with the folding buildings, and then was remixed into funky and chalky update to it in 2009-2015. In 2016, only the first verse is sung to make it shorter. This opening was remixed again in 2022. Of course, ALL OF THESE, have got several reactions, depending on who grew up with whichever version of the into before they changed it to the one afterwards. The animated credits sequence from 1992, and the others following have received some reactions as well.

** 2016: This is the most divisive change, when the show was moving the show to [=HBO=], the length was abridged to 30 minutes, the SigningOffCatchphrase "Sesame Street is brought to you by the letter(s) and by the number(s)" sponsors" was dropped, all of the human characters except Alan, Chris, Nina, and Charlie (introduced in 2020) are seemingly PutOnABus (though Bob and Luis seemingly died with their actors, and Gordon returned in Season 54), along with the new "Smarter, Stronger, Kinder" ending theme song playing over the credits. The set changed the most when Big Bird's doors was dropped, Elmo moved to Gordon and Susan's apartment, and Oscar the Grouch's trash area added a recycling bin, but Hooper's looks more like the original again. Murray disappeared from the show.

Though Sesame Street doesn't really clarify too much as a Seasonal Rot unlike South Park, Loud House, Family Guy, Simpsons, Sponge Bob, it's just based on when you personally grow out of SS.

** 2023: The format will be changed yet again in Season 56 (2025), as it was announced on October 30, 2023 that the series will be reimagined by completely dropping the half hour magazine-style format of the long-running children's show in favor of a longer narrative-driven style and more live action Muppet puppet characters, in which it would be too similar to many other children's shows and home videos that were made at least the 1990s.

Series/SesameStreet: While not as bad as other shows that went into SeasonalRot, depending on one's point of view and what year they grew up on Sesame Street, it is mainly based on the divisive changes that caused them to outgrow this show.
** 1983: Many people cried when Mr. Hooper died, especially when they did an episode about Mr. Hooper's death.
** 1990: When Jim Henson has died? died, that was when people said Rest in Peace, Sesame Street. Despite creating the Muppets, directing some segments, playing characters like Ernie, Kermit, and Guy Smiley, had some involvement with Sesame Street's development, Jim Henson wasn't the creator of Sesame Street; Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrissett actually were.
