* YourBrainWontBeMuchOfAMeal: During the Christmas 2020 ZombieApocalypse, all the local zombies completely ignore Mike Block.[[note]]Likely due to a techincal glitch in-game causing the NPC's to ignore him, but Penta just rolls with it.[[/note]] Mike himself can't understand why they're leaving him alone.

* YourBrainWontBeMuchOfAMeal: During the Christmas 2020 ZombieApocalypse, all the local zombies completely ignore Mike Block, and it's played off as because of a specific lack of BrainFood there.

** Mike Block is DumbMuscle most of the time; he causes random chaos around the police station all the damn time, and once couldn't tell that a "child" he was trying to sell drugs to was actually a [[PaperThinDisguise very poorly disguised]] Officer Toretti. But Mike also has a masters degree in civil engineering from MIT.

* GeniusDitz: Dr. Agnes is the type to casually escort injured patients to the morgue, get in random slap fights, or breathe "alien fumes" on the daily. But she's also the first person to successfully perform a brain transplant/replant, when she cured Chips' body of AIDS.

* YearInsideHourOutside: Windsong [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall notices]] that time passes more slowly inside the prison than out; she could be locked away for a few months and her friends will act like she's been gone for mere hours. To save her unborn child from being killed by "the Illuminati," she gets herself locked up for five months in order to expedite the remaining five months of her pregnancy and have her child sooner in "outside" time.[[note]]This is a riff on the server mechanic for the prison. A character's sentence in "months" translates to real-world minutes; therefore, a five month sentence would actually be five minutes long.[[/note]]

* SenselessSacrifice: LSPD Officer Mavrick Shaw dies defending Pillbox medical from armed gunmen who were firing into the hospital at doctors and patients. Despite being previously wounded, Shaw tried to arrange to release a prisoner in exchange for the gunmen leaving. Despite him having no intentions of betraying the deal, the criminals shoot and kill him anyway.

* HandsomeLech: Gender-flipped: Claire Seducer is good-looking, and uses cheesy pickup lines on literally everyone she meets, but it hardly works. It doesn't help things that she's also stuck in an AmnesiaLoop, meaning she does it over and over again to the same people.
** Kyle Pred plays this one straight

* ActingForTwo: Since many players play multiple characters, this is common. Often Lampshaded by characters commenting on different people played by the same person having a similar voice. Some players will try using different accents or voices to make this less obvious.

** Corrections officer Pat looks and talks just like his player, [[https://twitch.tv/spaceboy Spaceboy]].

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: And loads. And loads. And LOADS.

** Many longtime characters complately reset and lost their character development, acting like they were in Los Santos for the first time and had never met anyone else before.

** Some opted for a "soft" reboot, where they remembered certain events and individuals, but not others. For instance, Bryce and Tessa rememebered that they were best friends who were reuniting after a long time, but Bryce didn't remember Richard Dark.
** A handful of characters, including the entire HOA, fully remembered the events of version 2.0. This led to a lot of angst when they discovered all their posessions and criminal records were gone, and led to some confusion between Siz (who remembered Alabaster Slim from before) and Alabaster Slim (who, from his perspective, was meeting Siz for the first time).

This ultimately means that you can view situations [[SwitchingPOV through multiple perspectives]]; imagine being able to watch ''Series/MiamiVice'' or ''Series/{{Cops}}'' from the perspective of any character you want.

* GenreRoulette: Depends on who you're watching. If you watch Lauren Forcer or Brittany Angel, you're more likely to get a cop drama. If you're watching Chang Gang or Prune Gang, you'll get a dark comedy. If you're watching Windsong, you'll get a crime dramedy that wouldn't be out of place on the CW.

* MeddlesomePatrolman: Officer Jordan Steele will graciously hand out citations and charges to ''anyone'' who breaks a law in front of him.

However, what truly sets [=NoPixel=] apart is that it has inadvertently created a new form of storytelling. Instead of playing it as a conventional multiplayer game, the players act as if they're in a story, blending improv, roleplay, and basic cinematography. Each character's player can stream these stories on Twitch for all to see.

* ContinuitySnarl: After the upgrade from [=NoPixel=] 2.0 to 3.0, continuity went directly out the window with how everyone remembered each other, and ''what'' exactly they remembered.

** Many longtime characters, such as Mel and Eugene, complately reset and lost their character development, acting like they were in Los Santos for the first time and had never met anyone else before.

** The entire HOA fully remembered the events of version 2.0. This led to a lot of angst when they discovered all their posessions and criminal records were gone, and led to some confusion between Siz (who remembered Alabaster Slim from before) and Alabaster Slim (who, from his perspective, was meeting Siz for the first time).
** Four Tee did both. Technically, she ''had'' experienced the events of 2.0, but was abducted and put back into "the black box" (where she grew up) for a time, causing her to completely forget everything and essentially reset to day one.

Version 2.0 of the server, which was active during [=NoPixel=]'s initial popularity boom, shut down for the final time on February 2, 2021. Its successor, the long-awaited [=NoPixel=] 3.0, launched on February 5; it will be considered a soft ContinuityReboot, thus giving everyone a chance to start storylines anew.

** Many longtime characters, such as Mel and Eugene, complately reset and lost their character development, acting likr they were in Los Santos for the first time and had never met anyone else before.

* ContinuityReboot: Whenever the server is upgraded to a new version, typically the memory is wiped, giving players the chance to restart their characters from scratch. The latest upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0 involved an economy wipe, and required all characters to forget each other (aside from their groups/gangs/friends) and play as if they're meeting everyone else for the first time.

Version 2.0 of the server, which was active during [=NoPixel=]'s initial popularity boom, shut down for the final time on February 2, 2021. Its successor, the long-awaited [=NoPixel=] 3.0, is slated for February 5; it will be considered a soft ContinuityReboot, with a full server wipe, and a chance to bring back old characters and start storylines anew.

* FinalDeath: Players can choose to "perma" a character, or permanently kill them off, whenever it best serves the narrative. These characters are then deleted from the server and can never be remade.

* VileVillainSaccharineShow: In general, this version of Los Santos is pretty wacky, with a surplus of friendly and/or humorous characters; criminals like Mel or Mr. K are typically LaughablyEvil. However, characters like Bovice, Vivi, Mask, Denzel, and Jasper can and do perform truly monstrous acts.

* VileVillainSaccharineShow: In general, this version of Los Santos is pretty wacky, with a surplus of friendly and/or humorous characters; criminals like Mel or Chang are typically LaughablyEvil. However, characters like Bovice, Vivi, Mask, and Denzel can and do perform truly monstrous acts.

* BadGuysDoTheDirtyWork: At the end of the ESB vs. everyone war, Andi Jones (the HOA's TokenGoodTeammmate) ends up with ownership of the city's LTD gas stations. After some negotiation, she agrees to sell the Little Seoul gas station to Mr. K and his gang for a sum of money and one favor -- they must kill the serial killer Jasper Saxon. Ultimately a subversion; the gang talks it over and decide not to kill Jasper since they've broken him out of prison before, but they do agree to capture him and bring him to Andi, which she's just as ok with.
