* FriendOrIdolDecision: When Mickey is hanging from a cliff with Donald close to the finish line, he considers leaving him there and finally being a winner. But when he realizes the pie projectiles are firing at ''him'' and not Mickey, he gets him up and urges him to cross, declaring "It's me they want".

* ShoutOut:
** The game's design is primarily based on ''Candy Land'', with elements of ''Mouse Trap'', ''Chutes and Ladders'' and ''Battleship'' mixed in.
** In one part of the game, Mickey and his friends [[VideoGame/MarioKart drive around in racecars whole avoiding banana peels]].
** A giant Jenga tower and ''VideoGame/{{Tetris}}'' blocks also appear within the game.
** During Donald's dream sequence, he is shown taking Mickey's place in scenes from ''WesternAnimation/SteamboatWillie'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{Fantasia}}''. He is also seen giving a speech in front of a giant portrait of himself a la ''Film/CitizenKane''.
