Chid lets Van and Hitomi go look for the doppelgänger, who heads to meet Dilandau in a nearby temple. Dilandau kills Zongi in retaliation for Miguel's death, then attacks Van and Hitomi when they arrive.
They are able to escape and head back to Freid, where they are absolved of the charges.
